Landed as PR, Waiting for PR card..family need to travel back to home country

Hello all,

We did the landing last month with family (8th April). We are waiting for the PR card.
My family has to go back next week and will come back in 4 months.

Can they come back and enter Canada with the PR confirmation document? or They should have a PR card?

Yes they need pr card or travel document to enter canada. If you are from visa exemption country then your passport is sufficient.

Thanks for the response. We are from India. Do we need to apply a Travel doc at Canadian Consulate at India for Travel document?

Apply travel document thro VFS India. But they will get pr card in 6 weeks time?

Yes. but yet to get the PR card. They leaving next weekend. Hope we will get it by the time.

You can send pr card thro somebody or reputed courier to India. Now pr card process time is around 6 weeks.

Yes. That is the idea now, but need to find someone trusted. We should not send thru courier.
We have another issue. We need to renew all my family members Passports there at India. Will it affect the travel document request or at port of entry while re-enter into Canada. They will be stay there at 6months.
