Hello all,

I repeated my medical tests and sent the reports by Sep 20th - since I heard no news from them, I went in person to Kuala Lumpur VO in person yesterday (21st Oct,2011).

First the lady in the counter said they will email or send a post if any - I insisted on knowing some timeline - so she went in and checked with someone and an other lady asked if I had sent all the repeated medical reports - I was wondering if it ever reached them and got worried - after a while, the lady came back and gave me an envelope and the freshly printed letter in it said that the visas are ready to be issued and wanted me to submit the PP with 4 photos and the DD and said that if we submit by 10 am, we can collect the PP back the same day at 2 pm....we will be doing it early next week...

It was quite a pleasant shock for us - we were taken aback by their attitude like issuing some train ticket - there was not a line as "welcome to canada or congratulations" - but later they wished us Happy Diwali :))) Joy of having Indians workings in VO in KL :)

good luck to you all

Again many congrats and wish you a happy and prosperous life in Canada....
Actually I am waiting to be in process, I applied in May 2011, get PER in August and received by Visa office on September,...
however I still didn't receive any acknowledgement from VO. May I ask you how much you paid roughly for doing your Medical in MR?
TQ

Thank you :)
They never sent any acknowledgement - after I submitted docs in March 2011 - I straight got my Med. Req. letter in May 2011 - after which they again sent a letter for repeating Meds. Since I live in Penang, i went to Oh Clinic here which costed 220 RM per person - cheapest in Penang - Ipoh is even cheaper - check out.... they give u a list of DMPs - you can call n find the rate first.

what a pleasant surprise :o

Thanks Dr.Hasib.

Let us be in touch - My husband is also a dentist (MDS from India) - we are looking at his options in Canada - since 2012 regn is closed, we are waiting to register for 2013. I've written to you in your thread on Dentist 3113

Can you help me with the set of books he has to gather and start preparing? You are free to share any other inputs regarding this whole NDEB thing.

What other options are available for dentists in Canada - like some dental related courses OR may be in USA, which is valid in Canada also.

thank you and congrats Dr.Hasib - what were you doing in Singapore? btw, when are you moving and where to? We would be moving to Calgary.

Hi,
I would like to thank the wonderful Kayal who sent me a PM to inform of what they did and suggested that I should do the same.
I did exactly just that.
Got my PPR on 24th October (by hand). Submitted passports on the 27th and Visa was received the same day (in the evening at almost 5pm). The entrance door was already locked by 3.30pm.
For those of you dealing with KLVO, if it has taken more time than usual after medicals, go and approach them personnally. Be persistent as well. The lady at the counter does not encourage you to see the Officer. She keeps saying that an email or letter will be sent to you.

I had to go back to the Embassy 3 times. Only on the 3rd time was I given the PPR. It was not easy. I was given all sorts of excuses but finally made it.

A note of thanks to each and everyone who have supported me directly or indirectly (by reading their responses).

God Bless. Thank You.

Androse
