knowledge test or language test in new policy

is there any changes expected in language proficiency test (ielts) other than changes in age.Like i heard that knowledge test is replacing it in new policy. any idea

Yana, I am following news very closely on any changes. Didn't hear/read any such thing. Not sure if anyone else did

Correct me if I'm wrong. Isn't the knowledge test for gaining citizenship only ?

If not could I get a link where this was mentioned?

where does it say about proposed changed?

IELTS or CELPIP is still a must for Canada PR application. There is no change in this.

i am also going thru new changes very closely and i have heard in news many times that they might change language requirement.

like somewhere i read this

(6) Paragraphs 5(1)(d) and (e) of the Act are replaced by the following:

(d) if under 55 years of age at the date of his or her application, has an adequate knowledge of one of the official languages of Canada;

(e) if under 55 years of age at the date of his or her application, demonstrates in one of the official languages of Canada that he or she has an adequate knowledge of Canada and of the responsibilities and privileges of citizenship; and


how u pp are taking it.

It sounds like it applies to the citizenship test/application, as kvn already suspected.
