Hi Maple Eagle,

There is only one office in Vancouver which handles the citizenship files and its address is : 200 - 877 Expo Blvd Vancouver, BC V6B 8P8. If you want any updates or any request for appointment then you can mail in a letter to them or drop by personally to give the letter to the security. This will help you get in touch with them.

I have been waiting for my Oath Ceremony invitation from them since May 2012 but when I tried contacting them they sent me a reply that should call them after 6 mths if I haven't received any correspondence from them. So I'm stuck as I'll have to wait till end of October and there is no update on online case status.

So give it a try and send them a request detailing out how long you have been waiting and asking them if they want anything from you.

Thanks for the clarification of your situation. It must be extremely frustrating to have to wait that long for the oath ceremony. I pity you. I suppose you do not even know whether you passed the test back in May or not.

However, the end of October is here!! So you can call them and find out more about your case. Would you be so kind to share the new info you get?

As for me, I will just wait and keep my patience. Try to keep it, at least...

Hi,

My online status is as follows:

We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) in August 2009.

We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada in August 2009. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

We started processing your application in March 2010.

Your file was transferred to the Citizenship Vancouver office in June 2010. The Citizenship Vancouver office will contact you if additional information is required. The Citizenship Vancouver office will contact you regarding your citizenship test once all the necessary checks on your file are complete.

We sent you a notice in November 2010 to appear and write the citizenship test in December 2010. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.

That is almost two years between test and oath. Crazy!
Something must be wrong! You gotta make that call and ask what is going on!
Please share your experience, I am reading here every day.

Hey Guys,

Finally this will be the month my wait will be over as I will be receiving my Oath letter any time as per the Call Center people. I am thankful to God for this blessing and Vancouver CIC as well to bring a hault to my frustration and punishment for no reason.

Anyone with Middle Eastern/Islamic heritage has faced any troubles in the Kitchener office?! Also, if you don't receive any mail notices and you kept calling them, and the CIC kept saying your file is still in process and background check!
