Kitchener local office after Bill C6

Virtual oath done today....great experience.

Any Kitchener applicants that recently got their virtual oath scheduled? Or is the VO non-dependent on location?

Been checking eCAS a few times per week since I took the test on Feb 6, and interestingly enough I checked right after my previous post above and saw my status had changed to Decision Made. Happy to see a sign of life in my application process. Btw I can almost guarantee my case was not non-routine, I am from a Scandinavian country with no travel gaps or red flags (that I know of...), so not sure why it took 6 months to change to DM (other than COVID).

And today I received an email asking if I agree to the virtual ceremony! Hopefully the invite will come soon!

Oh I know. On Sunday I started reviewing the process for renewing my PR. Hope I don’t have to. Took 6 months for DM after I passed the test in Feb.
 
In case any one is interested from a Kitchener perspective (timelines wise).

Took the test in Feb, got DM Aug 5 and email asking to agree to virtual oath on Aug 7, invite to virtual oath received Aug 21, scheduled for Aug 25 (this morning).

  1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on April 30, 2019.
  2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on July 16, 2019.
  3. We started processing your application on September 3, 2019.

Me and my wife are in same timeline. See below.

  3. We started processing your application on July 29, 2019.

KW Office is the slowest. Jeez !
 
Kitchener office is for sure slow. I am Feb 2018 applicant and still waiting for the test invite.

Did anyone receive online test invitation from Kitchener office?
 
Applied in March 2019. AOR received in July 2019. Still waiting for a test invite
 
Ppl who applied 9 months after me are getting online test invites. Bummer!
