Great - can you also share additional details like when did they start processing, in June 2019 or sooner than that

Here are my details ... hoping for a test invite by next week

  1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on ***February 26, 2019.***
  2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on April 24, 2019.
  3. We started processing your application on ***June 3, 2019.***

Hey - when was your application received actually ?

sure
  1. Received on Jan 3rd
  2. acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on Feb 21
  3. processing your application on Mar 20
  4. notice on January 22, 2020 to appear and write the citizenship test on February 6, 2020

I read the Discover Canada study guide a few times, highlighted the key points for each section and also listened to the audio version, but this is my study style so you don't need to copy what I did. You can also do mock citizenship test online to get a sense of the test style. I'd say you will pass the test if you read the study guide even without doing the mock questions . The test was very easy; some of the questions were common sense if you have been in Canada for a few years.

"We sent you a notice to appear and write the citizenship test. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us."

I received an e-mail would they send the appointment confirmation by mail too? Anyone

So my test is scheduled Feb 10 and I am planning to travel to the US in early May. Based on estimates from historical data, there is a good chance the oath ceremony will be scheduled right before my trip. If I attend the oath ceremony on time I wouldn't have a passport to travel with....gosh this is terrible timing.

There is an urgent pick up service available. Costs extra $110 CAD. You have to provide a proof like a plane ticket or hotel booking for them to process it as an urgent case. Your passport will be ready by end of the next day for pickup.

Wow your application moved so fast! My application was received Jan 11 but I'm only writing the test on Feb 20. I wonder in what order they're processing the apps...
