I had my test yesterday on Aug 1st, 2018,
a few notes about our experience:
- Test is way easier than any online websites that provide sample test, I have tried any website that google shows. I finished the test in like 5 mins and got 20/20.
- We had a family application, myself and my wife. So, we both went into the interview in the same time. officer asked few questions about my work, commute. we had the translations of our stamps, but the officer didn't ask to see them, neither our passports, nor any documents that we had with us.
- the officer said that we should expect to have the ceremony sometime middle, or end of September.
- My status, online, was changed today Aug 2nd 2018,to decision made.

Did the test today and it was easier than some of the online practice tests. Don’t over think it. And good luck to everyone taking the test.
The ceremony will be in 2-3 months.

Hello All,

I just completed my test and interview this morning. Got 20/20, and interview process was smooth because I was really prepared.

Process was smooth and nice, was told to expect oath ceremony by September or October.

So relieved it's almost over, should hopefully have ecas updated soon.

We have finished our Exam on July 11th and still in process.
Not sure how many more days it will take to change to Decision Made.

Test on Aug 1st. Interview was mainly verifying all travel dates from my passport as i traveled a couple of times a month. Decision made online next day. Oath taking expected mid September.

Hey everyone, just so you know how fast things change, I had requested for an ATIP update on July 12, when I was quite frankly annoyed at how long the process was taking. Received the results yesterday, showed that none of the checks apart from criminality had even started. Fast forward a month later and it's been 4 days since I got DM.

I didn't know that the turnaround time can be that quick, but it just goes to show that the majority of your processing time is due to your file being stuck in a queue.

They're mandated to complete your application within 12 months so they'll speed things up when they need to. Hold tight!

Thanks for this feedback. It's not been good not having any updates since January (AOR). I remember rushing to submit my application on October 13th, so it could get processed before all the backlog. Most people after me, even those who applied months after have had their oaths done. It just does not feel good being stuck in the queue not knowing when or what's going to happen.

The only thing left for me to do is to wait until the 1 year mark and email them which would probably give a nudge to the application but until then it might be held somewhere where no one is working on it. Sigh.

Because the whole process is in a state of flux at the moment, post October 2017, any historical times are of limited relevance. You will need to keep an eye out for trends from the citizenship tracker spreadsheets. They are your best guide to what is happening now, especially when compared with your timeline peers.
