If you do want the physical book, they don't charge for it but you do have to request it. Here's a link:

I got a copy - I think it took about 2 weeks to arrive. Its nicer than a PDF and you don't accidentally stray over to the canadavisa forum when you intended to read it

Hope to see more progress soon. Statistically Thursday's are good for test invites...

Yes and everything was the same. I requested them on Jan 19 and were generated on Jan 22. As of Jan 22, no other assessments had been made. Probably they started assessing all files very recently and that is why people started getting test invites.

I thought of creating this new thread for citizenship applicants post-October 11, 2017 who live in Kitchener-Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph and surrounding towns. Just an FYI, our applications will be processed in the IRCC office located at 29 Duke St E, Kitchener.

Please share your updates here on test invites, interview and oath ceremonies.

They don't HAVE to check your fingerprints in order to assess your criminality. They input your name in the database (shared among countries apparently), if there's no flag, you pass the criminality check.
A flag would mean someone sharing your name or born on the same day as you is on the database, so they ask for your fingerprints to make sure it's not the same person.
My source of info? Trusted people on this forum.
