Congratulations once again. I was actually surprised that their 1.5-hour estimate was so accurate.catchvb said:Today the process ended. Took oath. They had 50 people scheduled for oath. One did not show up so 49 took oath today. CIC officer asked for two documents
1.the oath invite letter
2.PR card(all..even expired)
Then we signed a paper sthat we are attending oath ceremony. After oath they gave us Citizenship Certificate. Whole ceremony from entering to leaving the oath office took about 1.5 hours with slow pace.

Hey catchvb, by weekdays you mean calendar days, right? Because if you meant Monday-Friday, that's technically business dayscatchvb said:Thank you everyone. Wish you all the best if you are waiting for this process to be over.
Applied for passport today. No need to wait for 2 business days. You can apply next day.
I applied with express service ($50) extra. I will be picking it up in 3 business days (including today). Just to be sure that I have passport over the long weekend. Kitchener passport office is fast and staffs are very professional and helpful.
FYI: Passport officers in Kitchener office told us in general it takes 7-10 weekdays (not business days) to get it by post since Kitchener is not a busy office. My friends and spouse applied in regular service and received under 10 week days.
Once again thank you everyone for your input and guidance. I wish you all very best.

Here's my update:
- I went to Passport Canada around 11.30am today. The whole process took less than 10 minutes, from lining up to get a number to submitting and paying for the application. I applied for regular service since I'm in no hurry to travel
- The officer told me she saw someone earlier in the day who also took the oath the same day as me and their information was not in the system yet
- I see on other threads that it is necessary to update health card / driver's license with ServiceOntario with latest citizenship status. I went to a ServiceOntario today and they told me that it wasn't necessary since they already had a record of my permanent status
- On other threads, it is also recommended to inform ServiceCanada. I went there today too and was told there's nothing that needs updating for the same reason as above
- I got my Cultural Access Pass today
You (and 4 of your minor, dependent children) get free admission for 1 year from the date of your ceremony to a whole bunch of things - http://attractions.icc-icc.ca/en/.Gorgonion said:Congrats
