Hello, anybody applied for citizenship from Kitchener? My application is in process from 30th December 2013.
How long I have to wait until they will send me something.

Thanks

Did your file get transferred to the Kitchener local office in Dec 2013 or did you apply for citizenship in Dec 2013? If it's the latter, then it would take about 6 months for Sydney to complete your background checks and send your file to the local office.

Thanks for answer,

I send application in November 2013 to Sydney, they send me answer on January 15th, may application was accepted and start processing on December 30th, I think they didn't transfer my application to Kitchener yet.

any Kitchener local office applicants receive test or oath dates for this month? Please post your application timeline.

I'm in the Kitchener area. We applied in Aug 2011. They started processing our applications in June 2012. At that time they sent me an RQ. I sent it back with the requested documentation within a month. We took our tests in March 2014 and had our oath ceremony 23-Apr-2014.

Hi Elffriend,
CONGRATS! I applied at Kitchener at the same time (August 2011), got the RQ same time (June 2012) but got Fingerprint last July and since then no test and no updates at all :(

I am applicant 10/2013 in kitchener
I haven't heard anything yet since received the book and acknowledge letter.
Does anyone from Kitchener have more input ?

This is my timeline for the Kitchener office:

We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on August 2, 2012.

We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on August 2, 2012.

We started processing your application on December 28, 2012.

(Meanwhile, I was sent an RQ in June 2013, which was completed and returned in July 2013.)

We sent you a notice on April 22, 2014 to appear and write the citizenship test on May 6, 2014 at 12:30 PM.

did you get invited for the oath ceremony yet? Usually Kitchener has 1 month between test and oath, so you should have heard by now I'm guessing?

Hello Kitchener applicants,

any citizenship applicants who wrote their test after May 21 and heard about their oath? I wrote my test on May 28 and haven't heard about the oath yet. The last info I have is that applicants who wrote the test on May 21 got their oaths yesterday.

I just received a letter with date for citizenship test for July 25th. I just need to know if I will study book Discover Canada, all the questions are from this book?

Thanks
