Hi,

When you say you called CIC by that you mean the call center right ?
I had the test on july 31th and I am waiting for the oath letter

Yes, call center. I also had my test July 31st, 2014. It seems we wrote our test together.

yeah possibly
ill call CIC sometime this week to check the status of my application
hopefully ill get good news

My ECAS was updated this morning showing oath invite. Here is my timeline again:

1.We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on December 30, 2013.

2.We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on December 30, 2013. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

3.We started processing your application on February 26, 2014.

4.We sent you a notice on July 11, 2014 to appear and write the citizenship test on July 31, 2014 at 8:30 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.

5.We sent you a notice on September 9, 2014 to appear and take the oath of citizenship at the citizenship ceremony to be held on September 25, 2014 at 9:45 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.

Congrats. That's really quick. Hope we all get it under a year.

got the citizenship oath in mail today
its scheduled for Oct 1st so it took like 9 months.

8) I took my oath this morning and the officer informed us that we can apply for passport by tomorrow. The two days wait after oath is no more applicable.

Wish those still waiting the best of luck.
