Good morning all, my husband has been here now for 3 weeks, and he is settleing just fine. There has been some hickups, but with anything else in life nothing is ever smooth.
Alicatshaw- my husband had a similar problem, where he initially did his son medical and he had to redo it because it ran out, but this time the child migrated to the US and the mother turned baby mother from hell, and cut off communication with my husband. He had to write a letter explaning, the situation and then get it stamped by a JP in Jamaica because they told him if he did not get his son medical, they would stop his application.
Once they accepted the letter from the JP we thought that was the end of it. When he arrived here, they did not stamp his passprt as landed, because they asked him if he has any dependents other than me and he said yes, but IO in Jamaiaca mark that he did not have any dependents because the child did not redo his medical. the IO over hear warned him that he cannot sponsor his son never in the future if they land him now, so they held onto his passport and his record of landed document and told him to come back in one week time, so they can do some further investation. and gave him time to make a decision. However, they send back to Jamaica to check his file and they did see that the son did take the medical before, so because the child was on the original app. they landed him and told him that he can sponsor him in th future, so whatever you and your hubby is doing, please do it carefully and make sure that the child gets the medical done for her sake.
I also have a question, a friend of mine was in the country many moons ago, and he got himself into some trouble, he would like to apply again to come here but first he wants to get a pardon from the canadian government, how does he go about doing that, he is currently living in Jamaica.
Congratulations to all that recieved that long awaited phone call from KNG. Now the next phase of your life will begin with your husband. of course some insecurites will pop up, especially when your husband tries to connect with friends that are over hear, the best thing is to allow him to contact them, even if you think it is not a good idea, the minute you object, they will start thinking that you want to be control them. Always remember if GOD is not involved, those who labour, will labour in vain. Trust GOD.
