Hey suki! Congrats on getting the paperwork off to CPC-M! Have you recovered your kitchen table? LOL. Welcome to the line to get in the line, I wish you a speedy process. CPC-M is at 49 days for sponsor approval at the moment, but hopefully as the summer winds down and staff come back from holidays that is reduced. KG as you know is at 17 months officially, unofficially we are seeing movement in 8-10 months.

In the case of the police certificates, they are valid for a year BUT they must be received at CPC-M when they are no more than 3 months past their issue date. You may be lucky and the case worker allows your file to go through, I have seen it happen for others where they were not far past the date that they allowed some flexibility with the 3-months rule. Fingers crossed for you!

Yep, it's crazy what's going on in England, I had to call up relatives and ask them what on earth the young people were complaining about, some of them said it was just plain thieving, nothing to do with any injustice or human rights violations or whatever the excuse was in the beginning.

HEY FORUM FAM! we had a crazy afternoon yesterday, hubby recieved a call about 4:00 and well missed it, the IO then called his mother! Shie called hubby and told him to pik up his phone, they told her they were calling back.. but nothing so far.. so...i drinkmy 3rd cup of coffee.. and stare at my phone.. he is off wrk today.. and not moving at all.. says he feels so anxious, and his nerves have taken over his body.. poor man!

Finally! Hubby got the call from ambassy to drop off his passport. We are soooooooo happy! Just can't realize it yet!

Hooray, YardieMy! See, I knew KG wasn't done for the week yet! That is so marvelous, your long journey is now in the home stretch!! Turnaround with the use of a courier has been within two weeks in the two cases I can think of. Not sure if that is any faster than drop-off, but it does allow for the tracking of the package and knowing that it will be returned securely without having to make 2 trips to Kingston.
