Psalm 75 - KG sometimes issues an AOR (Acknowledgement of Receipt). I say sometimes because some persons never did get one. Basically, it says they have received the application, gives a file number for the applicant, gives an estimate of how long the processing should take, and whether there is any additional documents needed from the applicant and how he should communicate with the embassy.

Not everyone receives this, so don't panic if you don't get one. As the embassies are moving over to the new system GCMS, it is possible that this may not be done consistently. It's just a form letter, really the only important information on it is the client number for the applicant, but because KG is not always consistent with updating eCAS, some people are never able to access their eCAS anyways.

For now, just settle in to wait. Live your lives, get on with things, and make your plans for your husband to come home! Before you know it, the time is past, he is arriving and the rest of your lives together is beginning. This is a phase only. Meanwhile, we offer information, support, advice and sometimes entertainment here, and we share this experience with others who can understand.

Does any1 know if I have a non accompanying child if the dad is not on the birth certificate does that pose a problem?

Your husband may be asked to take a DNA test to prove his paternity. Remember that the point of having the child declared on the application is to preserve the right to sponsor the child in future, whether you plan to or not is irrelevant.

well he took 1 already a personal 1 not a legal 1 that cant be used for immigration as they never took photos but they did the mouth swab etc but he never signed the birth certificate so to make life easier he should just sign it

Yes, he should get his name added to the child's BC.
