As you yourself noted, each case is different and so it is hard to tell from what happened with someone else's case what will happen with yours. However, it would seem your husband's case is well along in processing. I cannot tell you what to make of the eCAS update, because that system is being upgraded/re-tooled, it has proved unreliable for KG applicants as a source of information as to where they might be in the process. Hopefully once the changeover to the new system is complete, KG immigration officers will make full use of its capabilities to keep us informed. We can always hope!

Hello all, back in Canada for two weeks safe and sound. Had a great direct flight...and nobody sat beside me so I could curl up in fetal position and sleep lol!!! Charlie D....you live in Jamaica to? Or did I misread that???

Question...got supplies to do all the rest of the application today. I decided against spirals for the pictures...so heres my plan. I got white cardstock...I'm gonna use the scotch tape idea to paste them on...with labels and dates underneath. I got this little clear folder book...and you can insert the sheets of cardstock and easily pull them out if needed. Will Immigration be ok with this? I'm labelling all the books by which set of pictures they are. Helps make the timeline.

Hi SmoothiesQ! Glad you arrived safe and sound. Yes, I live in Kingston, I am the applicant, my husband is the Canadian.

You can put the pics on the cardstock with the labels but don't insert them into the plastic clear covers. The rule on photos is they must be "loose", not in an album or any other kind of binding.

SmoothiesQueen: I submitted my pics by cutting/pasting in to a Word file. I placed pics in the order of the questions - 3 pics per page and printed on single sided paper in Colour. In doing this I was able to put the description/names beside each photo in chronological order and a header on each page with hubby's full name. This saved a lot of photo printing and did not make my package so thick. The person I spoke with from CIC indicated that they "scan" the 2 applications (sponsor/perm res) and keep one in Miss and send one to Jamaica. Hope that helps.

LONELY thanks for asking no not yet was obviously hoping it would be by now!!! (2wks today since dropped off) hope they don't tek too long & start chat foolishness like RAMDONT! ???

I only know one other person that took about 3 wks that was Child of the King.........i just sit & wait hubby is frustrated & anxious asking WHY so long?? but i'm trying to stay positive & hope will be sometime this week

Thank you everyone who said I could take a break to make sure I was spending enough time with hubby, LOL! Just so y'all know, I was on the computer loading some pics I had taken of us, and saw SmoothiesQ's post. I promise, we're spending all quality time together! Last night we fell asleep watching Season 1 of "Dexter", our favourite series. It's one of our fave things to do as a couple, watch that series, so hubby got me the box set of Seasons 1-4 .

Let's keep cheering KG on as they work (feverishly, we hope) to reunite us with our loved ones! Let's GO, KG, Let's GO!

thank you all for the bday and anniversary wishes....it's a wonderful day so far. Hubby surprised me with a little gift this morning, a purse and some juice glasses (cause he broke 2 of the ones we had lol) Tonight we are going out for dinner and we are going away to Niagara Falls for the weekend....can't wait!!!

smoothies - I just put all my pics in a picture envelope and sent them like that...it says to keep them loose so that's what they got lol I thought if you want evidence, you'll get it, I sent over 100 pics and thought they can thumb through all of them or none of them, but if that's what they want, that's what they'll get.

charlie - yes, keep away from the computer!! unless you're at work daydreaming lol btw, I love Dexter too
