OK, so I don't know what the story is, but our application is still not finalized for sponsorship approval. As you can see from my timeline, it's been 32 days since our app was received at CPC-M, and while this is within the 37 days timeline on the CIC website, I also know from the February 2011 thread that people with apps submitted on Feb 16, 17 and 18 have been able access to eCAS and get some idea of their status. Some have had apps returned, as I mentioned yesterday, but at least they know something.

So I asked hubby to give CIC's Call Centre a ring and find out what's going on. The good news is whoever helped him was able to give him a client ID #, the bad news is we still haven't been approved yet. She says he should expect to wait at least another week, but wants him to call her back by Monday if we haven't gotten an update by then.

Hmmph.

LOL, jahlove. Doesn't look like it, does it? Have you seen the article in another thread about the guy who got a package of 8 applications mailed to him when the courier tried to deliver them to the wrong address? :O

We entrust our lives on paper to them, and they treat them like that. SMH. That's why I blacked out my credit card number from my statements that I sent. I don't care to have that information floating around!

Waiting, yes those are some of the questions that the IO asked my hubby, I would say that make sure you hubby is well prepared for the interview, it can be tense. Best of luck

Charlie now you are begining to feel the real pang of waiting i tell you girl its a killer. but dont worry you will be fine.

basically a income requirement is not required, and as long as he is not on OW, he can sponsor you, its just that our faith lies in the hands of those IO or so they think. but God got your back, and you will receive good news soon, I promise.

Charlie mi fren, don't you fret now, remember I KNOW you're app is bullet proof. The fact they gave you a client id# says they got it and is in process and not floating around in la la land. You'll be approved asap but may not know for awhile. Is hubby there with you yet?

KIMORE just curious if your hubby has picked his pp up & if so how long before they called..is it usually 7-14 days? I know you said he will be waiting a while to finish work but not sure if he has it & your waiting to book flight now?

Just wanted an idea of when hubby should expect a call the lady just told him they will call but want an idea when we can book (you & others said can book one way, have yu seen any reasonable flights)? thanks

I asked hubby to check on this section of the process because a) it's about him being approved, b) he's still in Canada so he can do it easier and c) I know others who applied after us have gotten answers and this is a fairly standard part of the process as far as how long it takes. When the file gets to KG, the real waiting begins, and I will be going my merry way while they do their thing, because we all know there is no such thing as a standard KG timeline .

My husband is actually on ODSP, he has a severe blood disorder that requires a special diet and medical treatment every four weeks. His income is on and off, he works when the weather is good and he feels well enough, but he has savings and so we sent information about that to show that we have enough to live on, plus I sent my professional certificates because I can support us both if I get an equivalent job in my profession in Canada.

CharlieD10 : It is my understand that wage or income is not a factor in approval of sponsorship for Canadian applicants. I think the only way sponsorship is denied is if you are unemployed collecting E.I. or for criminal records and that sort of thing so I'm certain you have nothing to worry about. I'm sure by Tuesday your ECAS status will change to DECISION MADE!

LCW I saw that you were on.. How was your trip? How are you and the lil' one doing? And the girls and hubby? I think I read 17 weeks and some days now? Wow! Congrats! Speaking of which KC must have 2 weeks left, give or take a few days?

I'm totally loving the fact that this snow is thawing out. The sun is battling the clouds today. Spring is on it's way. Hubby is like "Grass, I see grass! Di icebox a melt out!" lol

Leaving for Jamdown in 3 months & packing my first barrel... These are the highlights of my days! lol

LMAO HF!! Your hubby reminds me of how deliriously happy I was to see spring after my first winter in NY. I screamed so loud to see the tree outside breaking into buds, my grandmother thought someone was murdering me!
