SmoothiesQ - sounds good. Yes, it can feel odd and insulting to have to prove your relationship is genuine, but believe me if you read about some of the abuse of the Canadian Immigration System that has gone on, you would understand why they make it harder and harder. There are people out there willing to lie and cheat and use others to get into Canada, the Immigration folks are just trying to cut down on the number of them that actually make it through. It means that the good have to suffer for the bad, but that is a part of life, not just Immigration.

Waiting - my husband actually found this forum for me when it became obvious that applying for PR was the only way we could be together in Canada. He did the research to find the forum, after that it was up to me to learn everything I could from the forum to put together our application. I did all of the paperwork except the parts relating to him, it's more my forte than his, since I used to do sales packages and now I do audits so checking documents and putting them together is a skill of mine.

Time to call it a night for me, I am exhausted and still have one more day before I can sleep. Lord, let Friday go by quickly, LOL.

SmoothiesQueen: It is so frustrating and terrifying to leave your life and future with loved ones up to a perfect stranger. So far from reading on this forum, time frame hasn't been a huge issue. It appears to be age difference.. cultural differences.. but the reality is we never know what immigration will say. The fact that your friend and family have been very involved with your relationship from the begining is a huge help. Your application sounds pretty solid and worse case scenario is you have to courier a document. You have a big advantage getting everything together now and I think you can feel confident in all you've done so far.

waiting-for-a-star: The interview is so scary and so intimidating but try to look at it as it is progress and it is something you have time to prepare for and master. When i was browsing through the pages on my first day of the forum I saw the post too and there are nearly 100 questions that you and your husband can practice and memorize and he can feel very confident going into that interview!!
Do you ever top up your husbands credit online through digicel? My husband and I always top up online and they send a confirmation email that we hang on to as proof of how many 1000 credit's we go through. I think if you are to call Digicel in the morning they may be able to even email you a copy of your phone record but that i'm not certain of. If you have any online conversations or emails, greeting cards.. letters? Pictures from your last trip to visit him? The hotel you were talking about may also have a copy of your reservation if you call. It's going to be a busy couple weeks for you getting everything prepared but when the interview comes... you guys will be ready! We'll keep the prayers coming!! Looking forward to tomorrows devotional!!
Good night
