waiting-for-a-star : AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! I finally get to scream but FINALLY for something positive! The old saying No news is good news is not applicable in our cases. It is wonderful news that something is happening for you guys!! You have a couple weeks to prepare for the interview and God willing they will just hang onto his passport on March 30th!! I am so happy for you and happy to be out of our slump!!!

Hello Forum Family...How is everyone doing right now? I have just been catching up as much as I can on the posts and today next week I will be in Jamaica...horray! I hope all is well with everyone. Monday night I went to a concert went to go see BARRINGTON LEVY! Yes you heard right BARRINGTON LEVY!
I was so tired on tuesday at work because I was out late at the concert the night before. I have been busy these past few days staying positive praying and knowing that we all will be reunited soon with our loved ones. Then I was praying for people in Japan! Hawaii! I am extremely blessed, I have great friends, great family, great new family on this forum, great life!

I am so blessed to have life and know that I will see my husband soon and that at least I have prayer and do struggle with the daily struggles of missing him as I love him dearly. Although the things that happen are for reasons! I think that GOD puts us through various tests because he knows we are fully capable of handling different situations that arise. I am extremely blessed and would like to extend blessings to all as we all struggle through different things at times and I trust we all will be reunited with our loved ones soon.

I really just want to emphasize that we are all blessed with life! we all are going through this process for our loved ones! We all have daily struggles, but if we really think about it we are forunate most of all because we have love and its the love of GOD where one can realign ourselves with him and trust that HE knows above all! Keep the faith everyone...

So weird and interesting......

I had sent an email to Kingston on March 11th with topic General Information. My husband was in Canada on a work permit when we met. It expired and we applied for sponsorship in November after he returned to Jamaica. The hotel had offered him a job again, but I first wanted to know if he would have any trouble entering the country as we were in the process of application and also if the work permit application would negatively impact our sponsorship. I went to bed around midnight and woke up around 3:30am (i know right?!.. can't sleep without my baby :'() AND.. I have an email from Kingston saying in response to my email below, my husband can proceed with the work permit application.

Kingston is burning the candle at both ends?!?!? Responding to an email is the first shocker.... in the middle of the night? I wish I had asked about his AOR in the same email. lol.

Way to go Kingston!! Keep pulling those all nighters and burn through our applications.

I pray some of gets some sweet news today, but until then do continue to keep busy and enjoy everyday as if you know it was your last, we indeed have so much to to be greatfull for, some of these things we as adult also take for granted at times. I've been in and out reading less and less these days. I miss the older members :'( We always had a positive vibe going in here and lately, I'm seeing too much negativity in the last few weeks. Many of us have been through this process and many of us have had our down times but come on people.....LIGHTEN UP!!! You're alive and you have all the necessities of life. Be greatful for your life and what you have and the fact that you're lucky enough to even have a spouse and love in your life!!! Life isn't only about KG and what they're doing today. Get out and live a little and thank God for everything that you do have!!

charlie's got the right idea, think positive and positive things will happen to you. Go the other way, and life will be miserable and you won't get anything that you want. It's your choice people, it's your life, take control of your destiny!

I am new to this forum and so far have seen a lot of positivity so am not sure who is being referenced as negative. There is a lot of prayer, a lot of praise and a lot of support. I'm not certain which members in here are not grateful for their life nor their loved ones. If there are members who are feeling down, I don't think that takes away for their zest for life. One of the great things about this group is that there is support and understanding for people who are going through the same thing. I'd hate for anyone to feel they are not allowed to express their feelings unless it's positive.

Lilmaya, no-one is saying we have to be perky all the time, I think we all know that's not possible with this process. We're all here because we are going through the same process, and some are ahead, and some are behind, but we are all progressing to the same goal: being with our loved ones. Sometimes we focus too much on the immediate gratification of the call from KG, and not on what it really means: not the END of anything, but the BEGINNING.

Waiting-for-a-star: You and your husband need to use the next two weeks until his interview to prepare yourselves. Search this forum for "interview questions", there are a lot of good threads on the topic. Review your application, identify any areas that might cause the IO to have concerns, and be prepared to address them all. I am not saying this is how his interview will go, it could be they just want to see him and get his PP, but on the other hand, it hurts no-one if you are prepared for the worst. If he is unprepared and they have a full-out interview, however, it could make things go poorly. So, just my advice, but prepare, prepare, prepare.

CharlieD10: I am sure everyone is very grateful for the positive vibes and energy!! This forum is the greatest thing I've discovered on the internet for anyone going through this process. The information and experience gained from the people who are ahead of us give us newcomers hope and reassurance that things are happening on days when it seems like they aren't. That being said, this forum has been referred to as a family and I'm certain this family has our fair share of down days and it's nice to feel like you have a family to turn to, to vent to or express your feelings and feel accepted and supported on those days.
This forum is nothing but positive to me right now, and i'm grateful for all of you!

waiting.... the times for people getting thru after interviews seem to have been way across the board... some people have gotten PPR a few weeks later, some people waited months... Confused had his interview in the summer and is still waiting... one member was actually verbally declined recently (first time it's happened within this group).... your individual circumstances will dictate your timing and outcome, so as charlie said, you should really consider what they might be wanting to know and prepare... this is the first i'm seeing an interview being called after a medical redo has been requested... not sure if this could be considered a good or bad thing? usually they are called at earlier stages in the game, so it seems unusual to me... but then again, when it comes to kingston, unusual is usual...
