Unfortunately there is no way around it. Medical office require passports for the kids whether or not they are accompanying. The husband cant do it?? One parent is needed to sign for passports. She cant be watching the kids all the time. Get passport photos for them and fill out application at passport office. There is no way unless she changes her mind or being sneaky lol

Thanks for the reply. The younger child is only 2 and she doesn't ever let him have him. Will have to come up with something. The stressful part is only having 30 days to complete all of this now.

Thats tough I had problems too with the mom. She wanted to sign off the kids 5 yrs and 3 yrs for money. So I understand that stress. But many pressured her to sign cause she is not taking care of them. So thats how it happened.

I should add, that back a few years ago we had prepared the application and let me tell you it was extensive and cumbersome. Glad the GoC has simplified it. Anyways the mom had signed the form allowing him to immigrate with his dad and she notarized a letter. She needs to make a solid decision if she is proceeding. In the event that she don't - what recommended forms and/or letter shall we draft for the mom to sign?1 thanks

Is the child in Jamaica or US? My husband manage to get the mom to sign the canadian form to immigrate stamped by justice of the peace in JA which was submitted in the application. The form is called declaration from non-accompanying parent guardian for minors immigrating to canada. Need a photocopy of her id if she has one. We stated that she didnt have one. Is this what you filled out?

Congrats! Im not sure if you did yet, but I would write a letter to cic that your starting a new job, are you able to get proof of employment? My philosophy the more you explain, the better for your app!

The application has not been submitted yet - next month. But yes, I will get the employment verification letter and he is going on my work benefits. We've been married for nearly four years and I file as married and claim his world income. The universe is aligning in my favour. HUbby was happy when I told him - got the position.

Thats great! Happy for you I havent placed hubby in work benefits..should i do it when he comes or now?

Going over the forms for umpteenth time.
So the following forms are required: I see four counting the checklist
IMM 5535 checklist
IMM 1344
IMM 0008 saw another members post about it being revised March 2017, and the one I had hubby sign is 12-2016, so I am emailing this to him to sign.
IMM 5532

IMM 5669 declaration is done later, I see.
When I was preparing the application back in 2014. There were so many forms and addendum such as writing supporting information on how the relationship is continuing. There was sooo much and I am grateful it has been simplified. And back then folks were preparing loads of supporting documentation and pictures. Less is more. I used to work as a project officer evaluating funding proposals and when one came in that was huge, a big sigh let me tell you. And mor time spent having to go thru it all.

Anyways have a good evening. I am preparing another email to hubby with clear instructions. He is a smart man but has a bad memory and worry about his interview. I just say speak the truth and baby don't forget some important dates. But I hear the VO will try and be tricky. Anyways cross that hurdle when we get there, which would be nice if its in the Fall 2017.

Ive been following this thread for a while since got married in 2014.. Finally submitted my application today...

I work in the same building as the case processing office in mississauga so I packaged everything and took it to the 3rd floor only for them to tell me they do not accept applications from the public I have to mail or courier it to them. So I had to walk in the rain across the street to request purolator service back to the very same building I work just so happened that the purolator delivery man was there for pick up and he waited for my package while we all laughted at how silly it was seeing that I work in the same building..

anyways I paid the $20 delivery to have to shipped on next day service so its just the waiting game from here.

Fingers cross I did everything correctly and submitted all required documents and they are all sufficient hope to have hubby here in 6months.

One last thing
I just came from the lawyers office IMM 0008 changed in March hope you had him sign the new one otherwise it will be returned as per the lawyer.
I just filled in a new one emailed it and a friend is bringing it back to me Friday
I tried arguing with the lawyer that for two weeks it's really going to be returned and he said yes
I was in JA as the document was being updated ???

I don't know for a fact but ........
He is a immigration lawyer that was refereed by a friend
charged me 200$ just to review my package and make some small changes and gave suggestions on things to add
like
cover letter even tho not asked
visitation visa refusal letter
