Hi Guys

Hubby had his interview today and got his approval on the spot. He said that the interview/question process took about 5 minutes for the approval. He had to wait for sometime for them to process the documents.

The lady asked him about 5 questions:
1. My age and His age
2. If I had kids
3. If he has kids and if they were coming with him.
4. Asked if he could leave before his criminal record expired in the summer
5. Confirmed that he has not been involved in any criminal activity since getting his record check

I would like to thank everyone for sharing their story, it was extremely encouraging to both of us. I cant express how much this thread assisted me/us in this process. I encourage everyone to prepare because everyone situation is different.

My application was received Sept 12th and sent to Kingston Nov 1st for processing. He got the call for the interview the Jan 9th, he missed the call so they sent an email setting the date for Feb 9th. That said 4 1/2 - 5 mths later here we are. This is soooooooo awesome. :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Congratulations and all the best to you guys!!

For those who had interviews already, and who brought along supporting documents like pics and WhatsApp messages, were you asked to bring along additional info like that? We submitted so much of that with the application but was wondering if hubby should bring along those types of things just in case.

PLEASE UPDATE THE SPREAD SHEET WITH MY INFO. CONGRATS TO ALL THOSE WHO HAVE GOTTEN THEIR VISAS. FOR THOSE STILL WAITING,NO WORRIES.CANADA IS WORKING ON A MANDATE TO DECREASE THE SEVERE BACKLOG.

You should definitely bring along additional proof. It demonstrates that you are prepared and can validate your relationship. They may not look at any of it ( they did not even take all of the documents that they asked my husband to bring). You may not know what, if any, issues they have with your application, so I would bring whatever I can bring.

I totally agree, there was someone on here that didn't bring any additional proof of relationship because they weren't asked and on the day of the interview the interviewer said he was not prepared. So even though they didn't ask its in ur best interest to prepare.

they still want proof that the relationship is still ongoing.

Thanks everyone! Good points!!

Hey! Just wanted to update that I found out today that my SA was approved- I only know by checking online, now it says "decision made" and hubby's CIC login account now shows "Review in Progress". Neither myself or hubby have received any form of communication from CIC. No AOR, nor any SA email. App was received on Jan 23rd, and my sponsorship review started on Feb 3rd.

Hi there, wow, take it easy (although easy said than done) . Have you tried calling CIC? I did last week and they searched via name DOB etc. they were able to tell me my address :o and phone number but nothing about the application was showing. If I don't hear from them via email by this Friday, i'll call them in the late afternoon. I know this process is unbearable...ughhh, but we're all in this together. Thank heavens for this forum and you people. I don't feel so alone anymore....lol :-* ;D ;)
