I really don't like interviews but I like the idea of getting visa on spot too as opposed to mailing in ur passport and having to wait for them to mail it bk to u. When did u apply?

My app went in on December 29,2015 and I did my interview on December 5, 2016 and got the visa on spot. I don't like the passport request idea takes longer u have to wait on them to please their selves to print and mail it.

Agreed. I thought we had a strong application. We had large wedding with family and friends the flew in from Canada and Antigua. Dated for 1.5 before we married, I visited ja at least 3 times each year. We have a daughter together, plus I sent in a $hit load of supporting documents and still we had interview. Seems to be the norm these days

I'm very similar to you ..had a fairly big destination wedding 55 from my side flew in and 30 from his side ...we were dating for 2 years before we married and he had his visitor visa for two year's as well and came back and forth ..I have come to jamaica about thousands of times and have been here since my hubby got denied his visitor extention which is almost 6 months... we have accts...both Canadian and jamaican together.. Own car..house here etc...he had many chances to run off and we played by the book and still have an interview request ..so much like what everyone else said ..think it's just protocol ::)

What questions do they ask tho?
if u go bk a few pages u will see some posts from ppl who have already done their interviews and the questions they ask. But they are questions pertaining to you application like

When u met ur wife, when and where u got married, ur spouse's salary and place of work and other personal questions. So u have to know ur application.

Hi guys,

Yesterday i was driving from Montreal to come see my husband in Connecticut. (He spent the holiday at his sister's house there).
While I was driving I had the weird idea to check my emails (I know, I know... not realy safe to do that) But guess what!?? I had and email from KVO to schedule my husband interview!!! I was so happy : ))) So when I saw him I asked him if he checked is email he did but there was nothing new so I was able to give him the good news myself and see his reaction! :D

So in the email they asked for original birth certificate, original mariage certificate (??), Passeport, 3 passeports size photo and CSQ.

Let's pray for each other so our family can finaly be together in 2017.

Congrats ! Wow that's great news ...and that September application... good luck ! ;D

Hello I'm new. I am getting the application ready for submission. I have a question. What kind of additional proof is needed? Thank you.
proof that relationship is still ongoing. Like pics , phone logs, western union receipts etc, etc.

Congratulations!! I would also bring recent proof of relationship. They never asked my Husband to bring and they excepted it. lucky I sent him some just in case. And I know someone that didnt get the passport returned that day because they didnt bring any.

Hi,

I'm really glad to see so many people getting through. I wanted to ask about the prepaid air waybill from Mobay to Kingston. It says he can go to DHL or Tara Courier for the return of his passport. Should he just go to DHL to pay it? Will they know how to support this specific process? I don't see any additional information in the email and I am still unclear after reading previous messages about air waybills.

Thanks you!
I will definitely prepare a little package to prove that our relationship is still going on. I read a lot on this post and with the past experiences, I know we have to bring it even if they didn't ask for it....
I'm pretty sure you August applicant will receive call realy soon ;)
