I agree with the diva! I strongly suggest getting a DNA test done first. It wouldn't seem logical to go through all the worries of the process before knowing the child is definitely yours. i've had family members go through having a child look exactly like them and find out years later it's not their child.

Wasn't there another interview Monday?! Anyone hear any news!?

When they requested DNA four us the gave us for options. We went with ACCU-METRICS because it was the cheapest. As stated above I think it is best in your situation to consult with a lawyer.

Hello all ! My husband'said medical is going to expire soon. How do I go about extending it? Does he go back to the center that he got the medical done and make the request there?

No they have nothing to do with it, email KVO and request it or if you have a rep have them do it.

It expires after a year since completed.

A yr from when it's done so if you did it August 1,2016 it'll expire August 1st 2017 if your papers aren't done processing close to the time of expiry you can always ask for an extension.

My family medical was extended. Just send them the email and request the extension....I sent them the email just a week before my family medical should expire. I was trying to see if the police record could be extended too but they said once a police record is expired it can not be extended. You have to have a new one done.

Can I make the request after it had expired or do I need to do it before. I only ask this because we mailed in the original copy of his medical and we don't remember the exact date it was done

The medical is usually sent automatically from the doctors office so that was probably the receipt you sent in, if you ordered your gcms notes it would show you on there when it expires, it's probably best that you ask for an extension before the expiry since you think it's gonna expire soon there's no harm in emailing them to ask from now.

Ok. Well I mailed out application July 18 and received the confirmation from CIC. My professor (immigration lawyer on appeals) said when they are ready to further process his file they will request new ones. So not to worry at this point. Is this agreed?
