Good night JamFam,

I may not know many of you however, we share a common bond this immigration process. My mind ran on the forum and I decided to stop by and see what's going on.

I too completed this tiring and exhausting journey...at the time I was one of the longest applications--we waited 27 months (this due to back logs, a strike and our VO not playing by the rules of fair processing).

I want each and everyone of you to know that this process is not fair, it has no rhyme or reason behind it and it tests us more than we think we can handle. The most straight forward applications to us can sometimes take the longest to process (as it was in our case). Just know that it must come to an end and you will have your happy ending. Believe it or not this process is the beginning or preparation for "Real" life together in the same country under the same roof day in and out. Use this time to set your expectations for one another, improve on your communication skills, and planning your future together.

The after-landing phase is another process in itself--All I will say on this is it requires a lot of patience, selflessness, and unconditional love & understanding. Be strong love hard and know that God has this situation handled.

Stay Sweet As Always & May The Odds Be In Your Favour!!!

Wah gwaan peeps we r doing a Twitter campaign tomorrow starting at 9:00 am please please try to take part we need to raise awareness to these processing times. Also follow your MPs and tag them in your post and use #cdnpoli. This is a change to voice your concerns. We paid a lot of money to get these applications in so we deserve reasonable wait times.

Good night DADDYS GIRL,

It's so nice of you to come back and visit. Thanks for sharing your story and for the encouraging words. I've always been nervous about hubby coming and both of us having to adapt, more so him. I'm glad you shared your wisdom. Definitely will take this time to communicate more about our expectations and all the what ifs that can occur in this process.

All the best to you and your family.

Hi everyone. I uploaded some additional documents to KVO this morning. I got an automated email confirming the upload has been received. I am assuming that nobody will call me to confirm receipt if the application is within normal processing times? Anybody have any experience sending additional documents to KVO
