Congrats ShortyP! ! It's been a while since I've been on the forum and I've come across something that I know you ladies can help me with. The form IMM 5406 Additional Family Information... this is part of hubby's application yet it states that both him and his spouse (me) need to fill out separate ones. Can someone help me out with this please. I'm so confused. Do I need to submit 2? One with his family info and one with mine? The help is greatly appreciated

stay calm your time to shine now :)

The additional family information form # 5406E is a part of the sponsored application and you need to keep in mind when looking at these forms that the wording applies to all covered situations under that form - so in this case it says "The principal applicant, their spouse or common-law...." - in the case you were sponsoring people that were not your spouse, they would fill in the information on seperate forms - when I filled it out, I put myself under "spouse or common-law" in section A and no, I didn't fill out that same form for me.

Just remember some of these forms are for multiple purposes, read it according to your situation and just get all the forms together as per the instructions for both CANADA and JAMAICA.

Thanks so much for the response. I am only sponsoring my husband and it is a little confusing. I understand that I am supposed to fill him in as the applicant and me as the spouse however directly under that it asks for mother, father, siblings and brother/sister information? Is this all filled out with his information about his family?

We filled in that portion, so they know who is who. But they will know they are non accompanying.

I couldnt sleep! I woke at 4;45 and now im exhausted. I might sleep during the day so time goes quicker (easy to do with my baby as hes always ready for a nap lol) and the other kids are gone to school. Omg omg todays the day!

Shortyp2000, I'm so happy for you and I don't even know you girl!! Congrats and all the best to you both :)

As for the form, I should just go ahead and fill it out with all his family info and I don't need a seperate one for myself? And what is this "physically present" thing... How do you marry someone without being there lol
