MelJam mentioned to be proactiv and send in the PC before they request it, if you know it's going to expire shortly.

If I pay the landing fee and my application is at the Kgn office now, where do I send the receipt?

I paid $1040 upfront online to send in with my application. I hope its right. Is there anything else that I need to pay for?

you can email it to them in kingston or you can send it to mississauga, either one is good. I went to the case specific enquiry page, uploaded as a document and sent it that way, and then my hubby sent it to mississauga by email just in case

Ok I'm glad to know that someone else got the same amount lol. So do you know what the $550 is for in the fee list? They never make anything easy for nobody

Ok, so there is the $75 fee for the sponsorship application and the $475 fee for the principal applicant (spouse) which totals $550.
Then the $490 for the Right to Permanent Resident Fee, which some call the landing fee.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your recent wedding!

You can definitely fill out the forms and start getting all your answers/dates/info ready, but I would wait until closer to the time you will be submitting to print off and sign your final copies of everything. CIC has been known to change/update the required forms randomly and if you submit your application with an outdated form you risk having the whole package returned to you. There's a chance they won't care and will still proceed with the application, but this process is stressful enough without having to sit and worry about your application being returned over an updated form.

But I would definitely start preparing ahead of time and getting all your forms filled out, just save them on your computer and double check that the versions you've been working on are the most recent ones before you print them out :)

Best of luck, and keep us posted!
