Thank everyone for your encouraging words. I just broke down last night but today is another day and I just have to keep the faith alive somehow on this last leg of the journey.

bieraumane, I have been trying really hard not to email them, thinking that over the holidays things slowed down and would pick up back in january but you are so right , its been too long and i have heard nothing from them. so I am going to email Kingston and ask.

I hear ya... I'm going crazy.. I wanna email POS again but don't know what to say... Lol.. I don't care abou bugging them.. But already inquired about how long they would have his passport for... So need to think of something else to ask...

we are waiting to hear what they have to say about the email we sent then on the 14th Jan and I truly agree with you about bugging them because ppl r here pulling hair out, stressing, frustrated, having break downs and are just waiting to be United with their love ones.

So i sent a email off to POS AND I BASICALLY RECEIVED A RESPONSE SAying "Dear Sir/ Madam,


The application for permanent residence was transferred to them from missisauga and blah, blah blah, and the application is under review and they will contact the applicant as to next steps".

Someone please tell me that this is just a generic response because we are way passed this stage and i asked about the status of my husbands passport.

Seems like POS dont want no one to bother them so they made up a generic response to all inquiries............. i dont know if i should email kingston instead....

I don't really understand why will they send you this mail…. Maybe a generic answer as you say. You did received the passport request by E-mail, did you? Did they ask you for some extra documentations before? Do you remember when your file was transfer to POS?

Hi Jackwife, I think it's generic e-mail like S_Spence said, they send the same reply when we ask about if they received the passport, Please note that it was received and attached to the file…I don't think you should be worry..

Wow Jacwife that's just crazy...usually when I send POS an email, the generic email I get back usually starts with this:

Original Message to PSPAN (IMMIGRATION) /Message d’origine à PSPAN (IMMIGRATION) -----

S_spence I have also recieved a similar email but I would not say this is a generic email, as it was a specific response to what I had asked them

I got that email after I had asked if my hubby's passport has been shipped yet. This was the last email I received from them on Dec 14. I'm not sure if I should email them again. The email prior to this one on Dec. 8 stated that everything will be completed within a "few days"...Well how long is a few days???

Jacwife I had a similar email when I first enquired and passport had just gotten there so it is generic. It is frustrating and I maintain that pos had no heart. Hang in there!!

Hello JAMFAM and Happy Friday!

Hubby picked up his passport from FedEx this morning...woo hoo...finally!! He will be flying home tmrw evening. This has been a frustrating process but am so glad to be at the end. We are looking forward to starting the next chapter in our lives together. Let's hope he doesn't run screaming from the cold when he gets off that plane...lol!!

I feel for those of you who are still waiting and wish each and every one of you a speedy return to your passports. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Hubby picked up his passport from FedEx this morning...woo hoo...finally!! He will be flying home tmrw evening. This has been a frustrating process but am so glad to be at the end. We are looking forward to starting the next chapter in our lives together. Let's hope he doesn't run screaming from the cold when he gets off that plane...lol!!

I feel for those of you who are still waiting and wish each and every one of you a speedy return to your passports. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
