Hi, can someone please help me, my husband's passport has been requested but his ten-year old son who is accompanying him passport has not been asked for. Does anyone know if my husband's visa includes his sons....thank you

Welcome Mrs.R and MrsK ;D and MrsK unfortunately idk what to tell you. I think as the primary applicant he has to be processed (criminal background check and all) first and then for the kid they just have to do a family background check, which doesn't take long. Hopefully a more senior member can explain the process.

I think the visa of his son will be included in the package when ur husband will receive his passport back. I would email Kingston, but dont wait a reply and just follow their instructions.
Can you give me ur timeline so I will add u to the spreadsheet. Thanks!

Jessie2014: I believe there is an app you can get on your phone that will check ECAS for you daily, and email you if there are any updates. I have never tried it, but maybe someone else here knows more about it.

THOR: He only got a phone call, no email. Wish he would have gotten something by email too, so we would know for sure! I have never had much luck with the CIC call centre, but I'm on hold right now to ask about landing without a valid police report. I guess technically he WILL be landing with a valid police report... it's just that it will be in his hand, not attached to his file in Kingston!!

Thanks for the welcome, I have silently been following the forum for a long time, it has made me laugh and made me cry, has made me sad and happy but most of all kept my hope alive through this very long process, and now that it's finally coming to an end it's really just starting, and until the visa is in my husband's hand for both him and my son I can't believe it's real as Kingston has a way of keeping you in a virtual state of limbo

app approval :august 7 2013
new police certificate sent in September
and I think it's in trinidad which is confusing because my husband live in Kingston. And he did not hear anything as yet. And I live in Ontario and he's the only one on application.
