Hey guys I just thought I'd give u an update we have received our refusal letter :'(I'm here in Jamaica so I was with hubby when we got his and mine was delivered in Canada yesterday it's a hard time for us but the struggle continues! Now I need to figure out what to do for this appeal I'm so frustrated right now I can't believe how badmind people can really be! Their reasoning was they think he married just to come to come to Canada! If there's anyone on here that's been thru the appeal process or going thru it please help and share your experience so I know what I'm walking into :'(

LonelyMrs. I too am in the same situation. We were denied without an interview - marraige not genuine . Kingston mailed the letter out in Sept. Of course I received it Oct . Yes they give you 30 days to get the appeal form in. It's just a simple one page form. I too sent in the envelope showing the date I actually received it. . I emailed my MP. MPP and the minister in Ottawa with little help except to appeal . I'm probably not much help as that's all I can tell you . Now I wait. I did order my notes a few weeks back as I am in the dark as to why it was denied. I am hoping my blue book will shed more light as to their reasoning. We too are heartbroken , but will pray and ..... Wait

For me it took a whole lot of prayer and fasting and finally after 22 months I made it to canada but the down side is that when I finally got here my wife already moved on with someone else. Anyway guys.. Stay encouraged and be prayerful and God will do the rest.

Yeah Sammy's timeline for my PPR is correct and believe me.. I'm so anxious right now. I just can't wait for the PP return! I'm even more anxious because the ecas status changed and I have checked that thing like everyday since this all started LOL! But just be patient the time will come soon!

they take forever for sure, why make it sit and wait any longer~ get it out the same day!!!!

I hope ours changes to decision made soon, we want to go home

So glad they are moving though and so many are on the road to happiness!

When I came here a friend of mine took me in (someone I met on this forum) and now I moved out on my own. Im working and paying rent. God has been on my side.

I've received an email form Kingston today saying that my husband's app is in the final stage of processing. I'm a little confused about something though; it may not have been wise but we submitted a medical and police record along with the rest of the app last September. On the website it says they've received his medical results but in their email they're asking for him to complete a medical exam. I know he definitely needs to do over a police certificate but is there anyway to clarify if he needs to redo his med exam? And when since did you need to mail the final requested docs to Trinidad?

The may or may not extend the medical. From the sounds of it they aren't exrtending your medical The "medicals received" on ECAS is from the first set of medicals. They don't always update ECAS with this info...some have never seen it on there.

Congrats on the news though!! That is awesome. Get yout medical done asap so you can get PPR and your hubby can come home!

Our file was still in Kingston so we didn't need to deal with POS. A few others on here have sent stuff to POS and they will be able to tell you more. I believe it was expense to send there though...over 100.00

Congrats on the great news CeCe! Many of our files were sent to POS to help with the KGN overload. Quite a few people have been asked to redo medicals which seems to be a POS thing...they do not seem to extend many of them. If they told you to send to POS then you will need to do that. What else did they ask for besides the Med Redo and Police Cert?
