Hi and welcome!!!!

Can you give us your timeline? When you applied - if you have applied yet - and any other info.

No they don't test for that at all. Some doctors will say that they do but they don't. I can tell you this 100% that it won't matter :)

Thanks

Pot will not effect anything at all...let's just say my husband has passed his medical and it has even been extended...so no need to worry

Yes your hubby will need to sign the form for you to order the notes. I had my husband sign a few of them so we had them

Don't worry about not hearing anything...there are many of us on here that haven't heard much or anything at all. It's how Kingston works. I've been waiting for 16 months and the only news I have received is that they extended his medicals. If I didn't email them to ask if I should redo them I wouldn't have known that they were....until I received my notes.

Thank you for your timeline. I will add it onto the spreadsheet as soon as I have time.

Lost my jobs in march 2014 so I need to find another job soon before my unemployment runs out so with that stress and this stress its too much. I don't have any more money to pay if he gets rejected because of weed smoking...im appling for his 13yr old son also do they call his mother because she is such a lost cause...she did sign the paper but now she is having second thoughts

has anyone gotten their PC redo done in st. anns? if so how long did it take to get back and how much did it cost? the reason i ask is my husband was there this morning and they wanted to charge him $100 for a 2 week wait or $50 for a 6 week wait? something is up with that as the first time we went to kingston to get it it only cost $40 and we got it in less than a week.....

Did he get it done at "central"? If so, that was the same as what we paid...

I sent an email through the Case Specific Email system to POS Last week to confirm whether they had extended my husband's meds. I still haven't heard anything. Has anyone else emailed them this way and did you have a delay in your response?

Hello JAMFAM!! Good vibes going that we need to keep positive and not let this horrible process bring us down and kick us in the butt!!

Nev - always a pleasure when you pop by to say hello and offer words of wisdome!! How is life with hubby almost a year into it??!!

Chanting continues bc we need KGN and POS to send the JAMFAM some good news!! I agree with Nev we saw quite a few last year and hope they can quadruple it so we can have our spouses home for the holidays.

KGN and POS send out some...

Hubby and I are doing great -- thanks so much for asking! We're looking forward to spending two weeks in JA for our anniversary in January. :D

All the best to you and your hubby in the remainder of this process.

I emailed PoS 2 times....first time to know if our file there and got a respond a few hours after. And second time was Friday to know if they have received the new pc and if they will extend meds and I still waiting for a reply.

How did you send it? Direct email or through the website CSE?

Twohearts......he did his medical I believe 3 months before we actually put our paperwork in. So it was just so expired that they didn't extend it! This letter has made me so happy today! My baby boy just turned 1 on Friday and his wish to hear something came true! :D

Direct emails

I can't believe what I just saw on the news about that poor Pakistani woman who was deported today after being denied a stay to her status for false accusations of adultery. I hate to see what will happen if she is murdered when she goes back to Pakistan.

I got my response to my email and here it is.
Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your recent enquiry to the Immigration Section of the High Commission of Canada in Port of Spain.

The application is currently in process at our office in Port of Spain, however, you should wait until medical instructions are issued by our office before you complete the medical exam.

We trust that this information will be of assistance.

Immigration Section | Section de l'immigration
High Commission of Canada | Haut-commissariat du Canada
3-3A Sweet Briar Road, St. Clair | 3-3A, rue Sweet Briar, St. Clair
Port of Spain,Trinidad & Tobago | Port d'Espagne, Trinité-et-Tobago

I guess its good that they state we are in process. It would be nice if they updated ECAS to show that. Oh well, at least they responded, right?!
