Afternoon all~

Baby Sh and I returned from Jamrock late Monday night. It was bittersweet going for a visit and spending time in JA and babySh and daddy to meet and bond, but hard to take care of a 3 month old while there too! Mosquitos and the heat were unbearable at times for her. We did get to spend our 2 year anniversary listening to Sanchez at sumfest... <3 <3

Congrats on the PPR's and welcome to all newbies.
PPR PPR !!!!! Kingston a getting too slack! CHA!

Welcome on the Kingston tread Queen P. We are all in the same rocking boat throughout this immigration journey. Therefore we truly understand the feeling. Ups and down, it's a roller coaster of emotions. Fortunately we are not all experiencing the break down at the same time, so there is always someone out here to cheer us up and lift up our spirits.

We don't have the same timeline, but we all have a long distance relationship history before initiating this immigration process, so I know what you and your husband are experiencing. Almost a year and a half waiting and nothing yet... It is frustrating, but I try to talk to myself and I say to my hubby each time that we are feeling low that we are truly blessed to have found each other, living hundred of kilometres appart, we are healthy, we do not live in misery and we have much less ahead of us in that dreadful process than we have behind. It has to come to an end and this might come sooner than we think.

I believe that everything happen for a reason, even when it is not particularly pleasant. They put our love and our will power to the test. If we can go through this we'll be better prepared to face all the challenges that will come our way after our spouse landing. That is what we are all longing for, but we can't fool ourselves, it won't be a walk in the park either.

It has to come to an end one day and nothing that is valuable in this life is given away easily. You have to work hard and being persistant in whatever goal you want to achieve. Getting to share my life with the man I love is worth lots of efforts and will power. I know that God is planning a long and happy life for us, it is just around the corner.

Stay strong, weeping and self pitty makes us weak. No pain, no gain, just like when we work out :P
Everything you are going through now is an investment for the future. Better days will come :)

Thank you so much caffelatte02. Definitely inspiring for me. I will stop think about the negative and focus on the positive. things will look up in due time.. Your process will soon be over and you both were strong enough to reach this far.. Thank you so much for your words of encouragement

Hi there new to the forum.
Welcome to the JAMFAM Spence. We are all here to support one another and help each other through this crazy process. Please share your particulars with us and Sammy or Kadi can add you to the spreadsheet.

Hey Everyone!!

Newbie here ???. I was just wondering, if you owe the government money(Student Loan) will that affect your application and is it better to have a professional (ex. lawyer or immigration representative) overlook your application before sending it in?

I got married last year back home (JAMAICA) and i would like to send off these documents "ASAP"!!! #HELP :o

NEED MY HUBBY HERE :(

Evening all! Sorry it has been so long but it had been busy since he got here. An update for us is that he got his PR card last Friday. (For those who don't know my husband landed May 29th) So it took almost 2 months for him to receive his card.

He is in the process of getting his Alberta driver's license still. He now has a learner's and has applied to see if they will let him skip the GDL program we have here so he can take the advanced drivers test and be done with this nonsense.

Congratulations to all PPRs and if there were any landings I missed?! Welcome to all newbies! Sooooo.... whats new wih everyone?!

I did not have a lawyer or anyone like that help with my app. I asked friends what they had done and called the line and asked questions (but they were useless just reading the instruction manual back to me). I feel like if you use this forum and read the instruction manual carefully as well as have someone go over all your forms with you to make sure they are complete and make sense (i did his with my mom) you will be fine.
