Congrats!!! Kingston has decided to work more this summer. I love it!!

Hubby soon come home to you

Let's hope the turn around for getting your pp is fast!

Thank you, Sammy! I'm still pinching myself lol

I was just looking at the spreadsheet to get an idea of how long it might take them to return the passport... I love how all over the place it is, just like this whole process! I saw that one person received their passport within a week of sending it in while there were others waiting months to get it back...

Your call/email is definitely coming soon!!

Awesome MrsG so very happy for you and hubby!!! Will you be going down to bring him back with you or will he make the trek on his own?? Start looking for flights!!

Keep it up KGN!!!

Thank you, Twoheartsonelove!!

My hubby will be making the trek by himself. He lived in Vancouver for a while so it's definitely not his first time in Canada. I know he'll be as cool as a cucumber lol And yes, we've started to look at flights!

WOOOO-HOOOOOO!!!! Congratulations LCW and MrsG for your summertime PPR, that gives us hope that Kingston is still working and didn't forget about us :o

Almost 15 months for us and nothing started as of yet, my hubby and I are miserable. We just can't wait to finaly be reunited.
I try to be strong for him, and cheer him up, but I have to tell you my dear Jam fam that I'm about to fall to pieces at times.

This process is going hard on any of us, even if we know what we are getting ourselves into and set our minds to it, going through it and coping is a step that gets harder and harder as time goes by....

May the good news rain Kingston, please! We need plenty of PPR!!!

Happy hump day everyone.

Cafelatte02,

First of all, thank you!

Most importantly, I wish I had a magic wand to tell you that you were going to get your PPR tomorrow... I'm so sorry to hear how much this process is taking a toll on you and your husband. And I hear you; you can "prepare" yourself for it, but ultimately, you can never prepare for the endless days of waiting... Not knowing when the end will be is incredibly difficult and exhausting. And when you see those who applied after or around the same time as you being approved can be demoralizing at times (even though you're extremely ecstatic for them!!!). But please know that your time will come; it has to! For every beginning, there is an end - your time is coming when you least expect it!! I'm sending you positive vibes and a BIG hug!!!!

Hang in there CafeLatte! Have faith that it will be soon and know that all of us on here know how you are feeling and that you are not alone. Where is your hubby located on the island? Are you able to go down to visit him even if just for a few days?

Thanks for your good words THOL. I know we are not alone, neither the first couple that needs to wait a ridiculous period of time to be given the opportunity to live with their spouse. It feels off to write this because it shouldn't be that long to live our life with our other half. That is how it is and there is not much that we can do other than being patient...

I know it will come to an end, I just can't wait for it ::)

My hubby lives in the country (Trelawny), born and raised there but lived many years in Kingston too. I stayed with him a week in May and we spent another week at the hotel last month for our 2nd wedding anniversary, but as soon as I get back we miss each other even more. Lump in the throat and tears to hold back every single time I have to leave him behind at Sangster's Int'l, it is simply torture I tell you! Heaven for a week, then purgatory for the four following months. That is how it is for almost five years now. We had enough of this.

I have only 2 weeks of vacation left, so I wish they will contact him soon, I'd like to go get him (he never left the Island), spend 1 week in JA and 1 week here to do the paper work, make him visit, help him settle, ect... Would be nice for him not to get here in the blizzard at -40 :P
At this point, the sooner the better. We will figure and work the rest out. Many ups and down, many storms, yet we love each other more than ever. Ready to build a future and a little Family of our own. We want a baby, it will definately be easier being together. It didn't happen so far, it will be a baby made in Canada ;)

So sweet of you Mrs G, we need plenty of good vibes in this tiring process, I gladly welcome them and the big hug as well :-*

As I mentioned before we are not the first, nor the last couple to have our patience and spirit put to test. I remember when I came across that forum and I was thinking poor Chickie, Neveaha, Daddys girl and many others, that is sooooooo unfair!!! Why do they have to wait for years (over two years for DG and Chickie) when some of the other forum members on this tread are going through in only few months...

I know now that this process doesn't work the way we are told, by order of receipt. Don't get me wrong, I am truly happy for the ones who are fortunate enough to have their waiting game ended quickly and reunited with their spouse the way it should be. I just don't like being taken for a fool by my own government who is lying to me in my face and make me feel annoying or stupid with their generic or rude replies when they do respond to my relevant questions email... I thought we weren't a third world country, that we were civilised, following protocol and we're considered as human being since we are tax payers!

That being said (oh my I feel better now, less weight on my chest ;)), we have to go with the flow and wait for our happiness.

Hoping that we'll get many more PPR this summer, as soon as we have some news, you'll be the first to know. Thanks for your support Jam Fam.
