Did you guys know there is an app out for Iphones...if you have one....where you don't need to log into ECAS all the time

It's called Canada Status Checker. It pulls everything from ECAS and saves you from logging in.

Real Quiet this week................. and I am over here sitting on pins and needles waiting for the Visa........ it has been 22 days now since we hand it in. And we delivered it in person to Kingston. WAKE UP! Let it be today Kingston! There are people waiting for PPR and Visa! Let us know you are awake! AMEN!

They haven't been that quiet....I did get an update.

They emailed me to let me know that they have requested for our medicals to be extended

for those who don't know...they only ask to extend medicals when everything else on the file has been completed and the applicant has meet eligibility to come to Canada.

it could take a few weeks for them to get word that it has been extended....but this is GREAT news either way.

Ohhhh Sammy that is wonderful news!! You got an email from them AND they have requested the extension!! Is your PC expired or goign to expire? Do you need to redo PC or do you have that all ready to go for when you get the call?? Fingers crossed that you get PPR VERY soon!!

Yes, he needs to list what he is bringing with him into Canada and the approximate Canadian value of the items.

For example:

Computer $800
Clothes $2000
Cell phone $200
Camera $200

Check off the Settler box and put the date he is landing.

OK well the only big item would be his laptop and that was a gift from me last Christmas. I can scan the receipt to him but he shouldn't have to pay taxes on it because I did already.

Then he needs to sign and date the form.

He will not have to pay any duty/taxes on these items.

That is great news Sammy Happy to hear there is some movement from Kingston..... when did u recieve this email? where you the one to email them first?

On another note , i just booked my trip for next month to go see hubby, i hope he gets ppr soon to return with me .
