Hi ladies I just wanted to update everybody with my status last Monday my husband these came in and today is Sunday I am on my way to Jamaica to pick him up. From the day we got asked for his passport it was exactly 2 weeks what it was returned with the visa in it. We waited 15 months but every hearted every tear every sad goodbye was worth this day today the day going to pick up my love my husband. I just wanted to share with everybody my story my ending. Also my beginning to my new life for my husband and me as husband and wife.

Have been reading for 2 years, so much information. Question, hubby got an email from Kingston on Saturday asking for a new police check - ours expired on Saturday and also to pay the RPRF. I paid that with my application. So, hubby is going to Kingston in the morning to get the police check - told her to do the 1 day cuz its so far to drive and I emailed Kingston to tell them that we already paid that fee. Whole reason I paid it was to avoid this processing delay of 60 days! Anyone had that happen before? Do you know how long it will take for PPR after we send in required info? I am assuming they have extended our medicals as they expired on Saturday as well and they didn't ask for that. Any thoughts on the timeline and the RPRF issue would be greatly appreciated!

We have ordered our notes and the last set in Jan said absolutely nothing!

Welcome to the forum. Check ur notes and see what it says about your RPRF, the notes will tell u if it has been documented or not. If it has been documented in ur notes don't worry about it. U should be on ur last lap now since they r asking for a new police record.

For the record this does not count as a landing story...this is a pre-landing story..lol!

Nothing you can do about it. Just get the police check re-done and re-send it. We had to do ours and one day expedite cost 10k JMD. After we sent ours in again, it took them just 3 weeks to issue a PPR. However, when they did ask for a police record check again, they also asked for the passport at the same time. Also, I wouldn't waste my time with ordering notes. If you or your spouse lives and resides in Canada, I would deal with your MP to get updates as it is a free service. I got updates on my application about every 2-4 weeks for four months and it cost me $0. The only cost was an email to my MP and a few days of waiting for a response.

Welcome PinkyM!! Great that you heard from KGN!!! another member with similar timeline had police check redo request as well. No idea how long for them to then request pp but At least there is movement on your file. Call CIC general number to ask them why they never received your RPRF and also email KGN with your receipt. That is what I would suggest and maybe even include copy with your new PC.

So excited that Monday and a new week are just a few hours away! Here's to seeing 4 PPRs this week and at least 3 visas issued. Come on KINGSTON make this the best week yet!!! I want to bring my hubby home with me on April 1, 2014!

While my MP has been more than willing to ask for updates, he has been less than successful in getting them! So, for $5, I have done both. Thanks for the info on the timeline!

Thanks to all for the welcome. Hoping to hear back from Kingston tomorrow about the mixup on the RPRF - it shows in my notes that I paid the full $1040, but it shows $0 in all of the fields…..so I guess that is why there was a mix up. I will resend the receipt just in case!

Hello from sunny JA!! Sadly my last night here with my hubby and I am pretty sad. Cannot wait when there are no more last days/mites or airport goodbyes Did have a great time and weather has been HOT with the occasional rainy afternoon.
