You must be on Cloud #9 Chickie!! I am sure it feels incredible knowing your family will be reunited with you soon!!! I can't wait to read their landing story....I'm sure I'm going to be bawling like a baby when I read it!

I also agree that Kingston needs to call all the remaining 2012's! Not only is it WAY overdue, that makes room for us 2013's!
OMG soooo excited yes~! Hubby called me about 1/2 hour ago to say that passports are at the high commission now and now we wait! I am sure I will bawl writing that landing story! LOL

Hubby and the kids are one step closer to Canada...
:D

This may be the hardest part of the wait!!!!

Come on KG get to work on those visas and have them returned to Mr. Chickie in two weeks!!!!

Question, upon landing, is hubby able to start working asap or does he have to wait for the actual PR card?

wifey, upon landing they can apply for an SIN number right away using thier COPR and start working. It may take 30-40 days to get the SIN card back but as long as they have thier number it's good to go

Good evening! I hear you about going through the motions. Some days are better than others. Just remember this process does not last forever.

If you check back less than 10 pages (don't quote me on that) you will be able to locate the information on how to access the notes.

If you go to the CIC.gc.ca home page and search Access to Information you should be able to navigate your way from there. If not come back and someone will probably re-post the instructions for you.

Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks girl :)

Hi hun.. Nev posted this earlier so I just went through and copy it for you...

GCMS notes (Global Case Management System) are notes that are made on your file. The Sponsor can order them online or by mail for $5 and the Applicant has to sign a consent form. They take 30 calendar days (sometimes longer) to be sent to the Sponsor once they are ordered.

A lot of people order the GCMS notes if they have been in the process (around a year) and haven't heard anything from Kingston. It is also a good idea to order them if you are scheduled for an interview.

Should you choose to order the notes, here is the link to the CIC website:

Perfect thank you very much ;D

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/requests-atip.asp

Please note: there may not be a lot of information in your notes so it's up to you if you want to order them. Not all visa officers update the system on a regular basis.
