Good afternoon everyone! I need help. I am so frustrated with the application. I have been honestly gathering information, and researching this whole process since last year September. I will have finished completing the application by tonight (just one more form to complete). I need to have it reviewed. I am not sure about certain sections. Would it be wise to bring it to a lawyer or immigration consultant to review? I feel overwhelmed. As proof of the relationship I have printed out our conversations from “what's app,” which came up to over 1,000 pages! Do you think this is too much? I have also printed out the conversations that he has between my mother and siblings (he speaks to them on a regular basis too). I just feel like this application is going to take an immigration officer forever to go through! It's taking me forever to put together!

1000 pages? That is way too much, that is a book! You don't want to send that with your application. Typically, your application should be no thicker than about 1.5"-2" max to fit into a large courier envelope. I submitted maybe a total of 50 pages which included yahoo chats (which were very private conversations BTW), Facebook records, telephone records, credit card support payments history, moneygram support payment history, pictures of the wedding, records of my visits to Jamaica (along with pictures), email conversations over the course of 3 years living apart from the day we met etc. What I also did is opened an online cloud storage at www.dropbox.com and uploaded the remainder of the huge documentation not part of the paper form and provided a letter to immigration with login information to access additional documents. I updated them electronically as the weeks and months went by. That is how I got my updates quickly to them.

Hello Canadian VISA FORUM~

This is my second round on this forum, and I am hoping to come on with positive responses and positive feedback from postings that I make on here. I am coming on here to ask questions and seek guidance from a few specific individuals which I deem to understand the same view point that I am coming from.

I wish all applicants and sponsors quick processing and hope this "go round" will see much less drama than the last time I was here.

:) HAVE A BLESS DAY!

I would say it doesn't hurt to hear what your contacts at the MP office say. I've contacted my MP and we've been in discussion that if need be..he will pull out the big guns and contact Kingston on my behalf. At this point, I don't think it's required...I'm just sitting back and seeing how the next few months go :)

Thanks, yeah, I just spoke to my contacts and they strongly advised me to write a letter to their office and see where they can get me. Most straight forward applications are supposed to be through in 6-9 months, with some lingering at 12-13 months while the rest stagger at 22 months. I guess the worst that can happen is I get dissed and dismissed by my MP. lol

LOL quite honestly. I am glad this is finally done. I warned her about this since I have been through it before deciding on going this route. I told her, it won't be easy. At first she said she could handle it. Well, that was breaking apart as the days turned into weeks then months. Its been much harder on her than me.

Ah yes, that's true too. Because you have been through this, you knew exactly what to expect. It doesn't matter how many times you try and explain it to the person you are sponsoring... they will not understand until they have been through it. And that goes for the sponsor as well! It's a stressful and trying time!

That's for sure! I kinda kick myself for not getting the application in right after we got married.....while I started compiling in the months leading up to it..didn't quite make it to Mississauga until 6months afterwards! The stress/trying times are real..thankfully I will be with Mr. Hubby in 38sleeps!!

Yeah, I started preparing the application 8 months prior to the wedding. So that by the time we got married, a month later, the papers were sent off and filed.
