Good morning. Most of us here have applied outland not inland so I am not sure of the processing times for inland sorry. There is a thread for inland cases on here but it is not specific to Jamaica only. Sorry we can't help you :(

Thanks for the info, been reading in the forum here and still nice to see the whereabouts of others cases and still gives hope! I've been told that generally its 8 months for the second stage of the process where as usually its 22 for those whom are applying outland, but of course you will never know! Thanks for the reply!

Good Morning All,

As usual i dont comment but i am feeling encouraged this morning reading all the post and had to weigh in on the conversation. Happy to know kgn is working to get the 2012 applications done, hope they will finish them off this week and get to us 2013 applicatants.

Keep courage 2012 applicants i know its hard without ur spouse, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Just a matter of question:
Has anyone changed their lastname to your husband's while your application has already been sent in? and if yes do you update CIC of the lastname change?

Thanks everyone we are excited.
We are glad that they did not wait the 60 days to change it to decision made, let's hope they keep that up and don't take that long to send out the package either!

CocoV.. I am due in May and hubby should be here by then!!

Once hubby took the passports in and everything had been recieved by Kingston, my hubby sent a reply email to the ppr email saying thanks and that he had taken in the documents. I don't know if that helped them to look at them sooner, or if it is just Kingston being speedy lately, either way I hope they send them back SOON! lol

Thanks Chickie!! I am stalking it like crazy. I don't think today is the day!! but hopefully SOON! :) :)

knowledge is power even if I don't agree so I posted the "story" about Tilipia but will be removing it soon, I would not want to give long term credence to such blatant racist propaganda. Shop at your own risk, eat at your own risk since everything produced these days contain poison. Note also that a few years ago under the then prime minister Golding regime, farmers purchased fertilizer from north america and when they noticed John Crows taking up the fields, they queried only to find out that the fertilizer was human feces... I know cause my husband was one of those farmers. The government decided to buy it cause it was cheaper.. What goes around comes around

Hi there,
not sure if i am in the right spot!
I am a canadian sponsoring my jamaican husband who is living with me and our family here in Canada- we got married while he was on his work visa in canada.
We applied March of 2013 and by July paperwork was sent to Kingston. How long does the process generally take in Kingston, being that he is in Canada not in Jamaica?
We are hoping to go see his family this Christmas, in which all our family and friends are planning on joining us in the re-uniting of my hubby and his family(he hasnt seen in over two years) and the meeting of our children to his family!

Thanks for your help!
Sara

Hi Sara :) quick question - you mentioned that your application was sent to Kingston? It is to my understanding that all inland applications are dealt with internally within Canada and would not be sent to the country specific visa office.

Have you infact applied outland but he is living in Canada? This will help us better address your query :)

cv
That could be the case, to be honest I have no idea! lol sounds silly, but I completed everything on my own and obviously is my first time. From my understanding there are two parts to the process and the second stage is in process and in Kingston, so maybe you are right?

We sent the initial application to Missisauga March 15, 2013 then received back about a medical to be completed in May so did that and sent back and then received a letter that my end of the application was approved(July 11,2013) and has been sent/transferred to Kingston for further processing.

To be honest, its a bit much for the brain at times because we are being told alot of different things from alot of different places. I figured alot of others are or have gone through near same if not same circumstances and would be able to help my head get on straight lol Since we received the letter in July we have been told not much longer and other places saying you have a long road ahead and people are saying recent "why haven't you got anything yet " lol :o

Any help or better understanding is MUCH appreciated of course! it is encouraging to see where people are at in their process and how long, etc it has taken along with everything else so thank you for your response:)
