Hi I have a question for everyone. My husband finally got the call to go to Mobay to take his passport to mail in to Kingston also to send a prepaid return envelope. How long do u think it will be before his paperwork comes in?? And how long do we have to get him to Canada?

Congrats on PPR it won't be much longer about 2-3 weeks

Hi Everyone!

I arrived home safe and sound. I had a wonderful time in JM and am so blessed that I was able to spend time with my hubby. This was the first Valentine's Day that we spent together in 5 years and it was amazing. I definitely had all of you in my thoughts as I know how difficult it is to be away from your loved one especially on Valentine's Day. I will have to do some reading to catch up with the forum but congrats to all of those who received news and updates from Kingston.

I just checked our ECAS and we are in Process as of February 14!!!
I don't know how I am going to handle the PPR as just with this update tears are flowing!

Hello new forum family! Great news to share! My husband got an email to go to an interview 2nd week of March!! Ive heard its approx 10 business days after that and we are approved and good to travel! Hmmm. I was due to go to jamaica in 2 days! Now thinking I should postpone for mid march so im there one time to bring him home .

Please. Every and anyone advice is welcome family!

They got our app nov 2 2012 I got approved dec 12 2012 then got to ja dec 27 2012 they finally started processing it dec 5 2013 got asked to resubmit p a police record check dec 15 2013 because it expired then got a call yesterday to go take the pp and return envelope to the Mobay office today

did you say you got a phone call on a sunday to bring in passport? just wondering if they actually work weekends?

Got locked out of my account because of changes to my computer. Anywho, I am checking in again. Just saying hello to everyone here, those I "know" and those I don't, and wishing everyone well on their journey to settling in Canada together as a family.

It has been just over a year and a half since I landed, and the other day my husband surprised me by booking tickets for us to go back to Jamaica for our anniversary. It will be two years since I have been here when that time comes (not left Canada except for a couple days in NY), so can you say excited?

Otherwise, life goes on as is normal: ups and downs, living, loving, and lots of learning to do. Some days I feel like I have a handle on living in Canada, other days I feel like I just got off the plane! Yes, even after a year and a half. So, remember to be patient with each other, to speak kindly and lovingly, and to never forget all that you mean to each other, whether you are in Jamaica or Canada or together in either place.

Good morning everyone. I am putting together my application and during my review I noticed there is a date error on his exclusion order. It states that he left on July 30th when in fact he left on June 30th. Should I have this corrected or just make note on the applicaton the error. I have the confirmation and reciept from the airline verfying the his flight when he left

If they didn't ask for anything but the passport then I would think about 2 weeks...it is usually when you have to bring another document with the passport that it takes longer.
