Hi there sorry to jump in like this but, just looking for some advise maybe experience.

I'm a Canadian citizen, my husband is Jamaican citizen. He came to Canada on a work permit, we met, fell in love, got married. His work permit expired, due to our negligence we didn't apply for an extension as we were going to submit inland spousal sponsorship. We did apply in March 2013. Received AIP (first stage approval in November 2013). However, my husband was detained by CBSA in October 2013 for expired work permit. Due to the fact that we had an application in process they let him go (waiving the $2500 bond due to his good character, honesty and manners) they were overly impressed with him waived the $2500 bond ...

Hi there, to be honest at times I have asked myself if my hubby didn't get accepted ... How would I prepare myself to move to JA ... ( Even though my parents, most family are there) ... I would share what I would do:
- Not move right away
- Work and save every cent
- Down grade ( living simple in the mean time )
- Visit hubby
- When I have reached my goal ( or near) of $ saved... I would start to look for jobs, before going
... Whatever you do please make a plan

Thank you. I think we are on the same page I would have to make a plan. I'm such a planner. And from what I've read, I would have to apply to move to Jamaican as well, the process could take 2 years

I haven't personally but I know of someone who went to Jamaica and got PPR while in JA. They're 2013 applicants.

soooo, I emailed Kingston asking about if our RPRF has been received and if they require anything else... they actually responded and said:

"Your RPRF has been paid. Your application is in process and you will be advised as soon as a decision is made."

That's all... but to me it's promising, even when it doesn't really say anything at all! lol

At least it wasn't a regular forwarded automated response!!!

if you haven't paid it, then it is better to pay it ahead of time, if Kingston has to ask you for it, then they will ask and then put a 60 day bring forward date on your file so it is a delay of 2 months onto your file.

Good evening, I have a question regarding my application. Hubby was sent home on an exclusion order. He was also detained. For Schedule A it asks "have you be orderd to leave Canada?" I have checked yes. Now for the details should I state what is on the exclusion order? or an explaination of the circumstances of the violation? or both?
