when i applied in February 2012 the sponsor approval time was 55 days but there was a hold up on everyones and that time slowly climbed to 99 days so most of us got approval around june or july but my app got sent back due to missing medicals as my hubby was old school and said we didn't need to send those until they asked for them (which was true but times had changed and now we have to submit with app) so app got sent back to Mississauga in Sept 2012 and sponsor approval was Oct 2012. We got a letter in March asked for the RPRF fee which put a 2 month delay on our papers also then summer 2013 was upon us with the strike, they asked for the ARC in August (because my hubby was in Canada and had been deported) and the renewal of our meds were November. Also we have 2 children on the application which are coming up with him although I truly don't believe that made it longer. It was just a bunch of mistakes made and the strike that has made it so long but I truly believe it was meant to be this way. If we had put our medicals in the app then it would have been faster but then I wouldn't have been able to put the app in in February so it would have been later submitting anyways and most likely if I had paid the RPRF fee right away that wouldn't have put a delay on our papers either but I can't go back and change it now......lovindahubby said:
I am not sure what paper you are talking about unless it is the Schedule A as most people that go over a year have to redo that one. I think you can only submit things on Tuedays and Thursday at Kingston-for PPR I am sure of those days.josephine196901 said:
Chickie... we submitted our app with an expired medical. We did the medical and held on to the app for another year. We were sure it would have been returned, curry stained and all but it wasn't. We also did a partial payment-being broke at the time and had to face the delay, except for this wonderful meeting place, someone name charlie posted the info about paying fees before they were requested. At that time I did not post here but lurked and gathered very very pertinent information.. even the fact that the processing centre in Mississauga was different from the place where you pay the landing fees makes a difference and could cause further delay. The point is this chickie, don't even waste time thinking you did anything to delay your process. These guys depending of the day and the monthly cycle work to satisfy their own personal timeline. It soon be done.. I feel it. I also feel the time help you to get ready for Mr. Man and the new family.
