Just a curiousity. Does anyone know if the fact that children are or are not included on the sponsorship application make a difference in the processing time?
My hubby has 3 kids and only 1 is coming with him because the mother doesn't want to let the other ones come just now. So wondered if that causes complications in the processing. I was also wondering why they had to do the medicals as well when they aren't accompanying him. Is it to get a baseline on their health for future sponsorship?

As long as the kids are on the original paperwork they can be sponcered at anytime. This is some of my friends have done.

We had to do a medical for my husbands daughter to. I believe its for a baseline as well. From what Ive read and heard from others is that its so Kingston has an idea of who your going to sponcer or eventually sponcer.

I just wondered if they would use that as an excuse to hold up the processing. You know, just giving them the benefit of the doubt. lol

I think when kids aren't listed on the paperwork you have to go through a lot more paperwork to show that they are biological kids. And Kingston can hold up any paperwork, at least that's what has been seen. I had a friend put his son on all of his papers and on one piece of paper put his daughter. And they questioned him to kingdom come about why his daughter wasn't on their sponcership papers. The mom didn't want to sign the concent form saying that it was ok for her daughter to travel to Canada. So its a catch. Either way your still goin to have to fill out papers, send it to Kingston and hope that they have their act together.

Sure! I'm 30 next month and he just turned 25 in July... so about 5 years... and yes... HE'S YOUNGER! lol May be an immigration concern, but I guess love knows no age... especially when the sneaky bugger hid his age from me until 2 months before the wedding! hahahaha

Have a great weekend everyone!!

Lovely to see all the pictures and all the gorgeous couples on this forum!!

My husband and I are 7 years apart so don't worry too much about the age gap! Age is only a number!

Beautiful pictures LDL, love the happy Family and the background of the picture. Your step son is so cute, looks like he's blushing on the cheeks. Never been in Port Antonio so far, but maybe I'll go soon for my girl Jamaicansnowflake wedding beggining 2014.
