You go gurl. I had a small wedding as well. Me, him, the pastor and 2 witnesses. That was all we could afford. No regrets but we will have a BBQ of celebration we he comes.

We had a traditional Jamaican wedding - and I'm pretty sure my husband knows everyone in Hanover - 300 guests - 11 from my side - the only white people there lol!!! at the end of the planning I was wishing we eloped!! But it definitely was the way it should have been for us, it gave our families a chance to meet and visit and it was a huge celebration full of laughter and love! best day ever.

Hello Everyone have not been on here for a minute. I have a question, hoping to get answers. Does anyone know how long it takes to sponsor a child to Canada? I have been waiting 6 months as the file has been sitting in Kingston Jamaica for 6mths and no response. It got processed real quick at the CPC in Mississauga. I even sent an email and no response yet.

I think there is only one here now for child sponsor....he's not really a child but still.....JamaicanfellinlovewithCan applied Oct 2012 and he is here as his father is sponsoring him to Canada so it has been over a year for him so not sure but that is all I can recall about just children only sponsorship on here.

my biggest regret was that my daughter was not there
and my mommy and that the people at the church made it such and uncomfortable situation for us. Ohhhh and that my wedding photograper tried to feel me off... lol other than that it was a blessed day.... our reception was wonderful though .... the church that we arranged to have the reception the people there were awful so we left and went home and had our recetion on the roof.

Thanks Ready fi move, Kadi, Chickie I have not been on here in a minute so Chickie whats going on with you and Kadi??? I will just have to be patient as my step daughter is filed under family class and I thought KGN wud of pushed to get her here. I just have to pray and keep faith. I see the forum has changed a lot, nuff new peeps and such nice pictures. I pray the ones waiting will hear something soon. I am not sure if it is a rumour I heard Immigration the VISA section was on strike? has anyone heard about that? ???

Hey Angella....yes the Visa offices were on strike over the summer holidays but that is over now and everything should be back to normal. Kingston doesn't do alot in the family sponsorship from June to November......mostly from the end of November to May because of the student visas, farm work program and TRV's so hopefully we are all waiting for good news for the end of November......we are halfway there!

I have been using this site: www.tinypic.com

You upload the pic, choose Message Board in the resize box, then you copy and paste the IMG link into the body of your forum post and Voila!!

(Disclaimer: as CADSponsor pointed out, it is a public website and apparently they can use your photos without your permission afterwards)

I just noticed there is a button (on the post reply page) above the smileys that says 'insert image'? Will give that a test drive on my next post....
