Hmmmm...so confusing but I'd prefer to go with the stats they gave you! :D

The CIC website states: Stage 2 processing times (currently at 19 months once Step 1 is complete) are based on how long it took to process 80 percent of all cases between April 1, 2012 to March 31, 2013.

If the stats they gave you are accurate then where do they account for people like WhoGodBless who took two years? ???

At the end of the day I guess it doesn't really matter what the stats are. Our applications will be approved when they get approved.

All I know is mine wasn't done in six months!!! :'( :P

this is what I got apart of my email in April

"We are striving to make our processing of Family Class applications as efficient as possible. We continue to meet our commitment to a service standard of 6 months to finalization for at least 80% of cases for sponsored spouses, partners, and children. Processing times are calculated from the date the application is approved by Case Processing Centre Mississauga, after which it is sent to the visa office for further processing. For individual cases, actual processing times may vary depending on the complexity of the application and the number of new applications received by the visa office."

Why do my hubby and I have to be so complex? :P

How are you doing my girl?

Hello VO family...I have a question...has anyone been through the process without them asking for police check?...My husband told me they swiped his passport at his PR interview and never asked him for his police clearance..he doesn't have any criminal history what so ever, but could they tell he doesn't from them swiping his passport? ( he did bring his police clearance with him to the interview but they never asked for it????)

Thanks

Did you submit a police certificate with the application when you applied? It is a requirement on the check list. I would be very surprised to learn they don't require it.

My hubby's first police certificate expired on Dec 31, 2012 and KG requested a new one.

No we didn't send one in with the application, I was told to wait until they asked for one because they do expire. Nothing was sent back (missing doc's) or anything like that. I would think they would have asked for it at his interview. He did have it on him he had it done 3 days before interview. Now Im totally confused ???

They have a swiping system not just like at the airport...and it will bring up where you have traveled..any criminal offenses that kinda thing.

[/quote Yeah that would be the smart thing to do...when you filed your application did it have a bar code? And were you ever on the work program? See my husband has been on the work program not only in Canada, but the U.S and the Bahamas so I think MAYBE that has something to do with it..he has had a criminal background check so many times and cleared with a squeaky clean record...we will have to see if CIC requests it or not...I will be sure to let you know so you can learn from our mistakes...lol :-X

hey there my friend how you doing.....when my application was filed it did not have any barcode on it at all....dont worry you going to get your hubby very soon....
