Okay guys so here is my update. CIC has asked that my hubby submit his and the dependent's police clearance (the young man turned 18 during the long process) along with their passports and my stepson now has to complete a Schedule A. So that's where we're at. Hubby went to get passport photos and had them signed today. Tomorrow they're off to the do the police clearance. 7 days express service, then off goes the package to Kingston.

Funny Kingston came back to me and said they sent notification in October 2012 to do the medical and pcc, we never got that communication at all. All my husband got through the snail mail was a letter asking for the medical. Somehow I think someone screwed something up, so we probably waited 3 months longer than we needed to. Any ways just wanted to provide an update to those waiting don't leave nothing to chance, keep following up and use that email address Moonie uses. Don't even bother with the case specific inquiries, I was using that one for months with no response. Now I am getting an email from CIC every day, they are being so responsive it's almost like talking to real person out there :P

That's all folks. Don't know how I'll get through the next three weeks, but I'm going to keep myself busy.

They did this to us as well. The said they send an email to us and we never got it.. It wasn't until we emailed them did they send another email out with the original letter attached.

I think it's just Kingston tripping at times..

This solidifies the fact that everyone must follow up and follow through on their applications with KG! Nobody will be invested as YOU (meaning each one of us and our spouses) are in your PR!!!!! I'm not saying to send 5 emails a day but stay on top of things!

Congrats your family should be home soon that what a long process

Driving home I was thinking about the Schedule A, is that not going to trigger background checks for my stepson although he has never left the island? Am I looking at longer than 2 weeks, I don't trust Kingston anymore.

If I may ask??? How long does your visa office take?? Walk/swim/vacay/build a computer.... Sounds like a very long time lol

Hahaha, yes POS takes about the same time as KGN.. but where as you all have been getting email responses, PPR, visas, etc since Xmas, we've gotten ZIP! Like.. nothing. Not a PPR or update or anything of value. There's one possible pending one... lol... its so depressing and SOOOOO quiet on our thread because NO ONE has anything to say. And you send them CSE and listen for crickets cuz u will not get a reply LOL

I would think that the police check would cover all that! if it is all clear then it should be clear sailing for you no problem.
