your lawyer gave you some bad advice but the weirdest thing is my consultant told me to do an outbound he said it has more advantages especailly as i was facing removal but when it was time to remove me the officer said i have an application so he cant remove me and he is going to check cic to see if he can process it quicker, i was so bloody happy but then a day after he called me back and said he made a mistake he didnt realise that i had an outbound appliction so then he had me removed. the moral is that if i had an inbound he would have not removed me and he would fast track my application.

I'm in same situation as you...I would love to get a jump on the RCMP checks aswell. Wish I knew all this too long ago when he was here cause we could have got them done here before he left.. smh

yes i will let you know as soon as they email me back....if they do lol when I first applied, on the guide it said we couldn't do the canadian police check on our own, it said that our VO would request it themselves but now on the guide it doesn't say that anymore so I am not sure if this is one of the changes they made over the last little while, that is why we never did them before, hoping that we can now.

well that sucks......so may times in this process i have said to myself "if i had only known that back then" but we can't go back only forward and the good thing about this forum is that there are so many people going thru the same as yourself so at least you have an idea of what is coming ahead of you.

Thats true it also depends on the officer because cic was telling my lawyer that our inland would be approved anyday and cbsa was saying they dont when he will be approved lol.....but the cbsa officer was a complete jerk.mmmhe didnt that we had an inland app in process he was hell bent on sending my husband back to ja

Lol been stalking it all day, my hubby and stepson passport left kingston this morning.
I must say i'm so happy to finally leave immigration issues behind

He was given 30 days to leave the country or else they would deport him.
So he left voluntary and because he was no longer in the country the inland app denied and we applied outland. outland took 20 months and we just received approval

20 months why so long?

congrats neika i think all of us want to live immigration stuff behind, cant wait for that time.
