Well i will give you a bit of an update on myself.......I spent alot of time today trying to do more research on our application and this is what I was able to come up with......it won't be anytime soon for hubby coming home.....i had resigned myself to that a long time ago but half of me was stilling hoping.....don't get me wrong....i am still saying he is coming home this year but I am thinking in the later part of the year.........we will have to do an RCMP background check and we will have to apply for the ARC. That being said...i have emailed the RCMP to see if we can start this process on our own without Kingston's direction...i found a company in Canada that will take the ink prints that he has to get and turn them into digital prints to send to the RCMP and this will make the wait time of 3-6 months for ink prints drop down to 2-3 weeks because they are digital. If i have to send in ink prints to the RCMP the wait is almost 6 months right now to get them back to Kingston. I will keep you updated as to the answer the RCMP gives me. I have to wait for the ARC request with Kingston so I can't get that done ahead of time. I knew from the beginning that I would be a long-timer on this forum so this didn't even depress me today getting this news, I know there is a light at the end of the tunnel and it will be the best thing in my life! Hold onto your faith in this process, it is what will help you to get through everyday without your husband/wife & family.......God puts speed bumps in front of us all the time to test us to make sure we still have the strength and faith to get over them, it is up to you to show him that you can go over those speed bumps like a champ!

Hello Forum!

chickie I have a question. Please don't mind my complete ignorance when it comes to deportation/ARC/exclusion order/all that jazz... I didn't have to deal with that and therefore I haven't paid complete attention to that, BUT...

I thought I read somewhere that if your hubby left Canada at the first request and did not get "deported" then if you waited a year, you would not have to pay ARC?? I may be completely off or have some details confused... So if what I am thinking is somewhat true, then does the one year have to happen before you apply or can it be one full year including part of application process but complete before the time they have approved hubby but before requesting ARC?? DId that make sense lol ???

maybe wishful thinking on my part or maybe something to look into further? Just trying to be helpful...

our application got send back to use due to missing medicals and one form was incorrect so it wasn't until September that it got sent back in....when i originally sent in my application February 29th.....the wait was 55 days and then it kept going up and up until it got to 98 days for sponsorship approval so that was another delay also...Kingston finally got my app in October so that is why the wait is so long......but a so it goes!

Congratulations. Seems like it has been a long haul for you as well. Tell me a bit about your application? My husband got his second medical request in November last year, we filed in August 2011. Your news certainly gives me hope that it should not be much longer before they request his passport.

My aplication felt like forever. My hubbies was a bit complucated because he was previosly in Canada and overstayed hus visa. we had applied inland and was waiting for approval for ten months. Our lawyer at the time brought my husband to the cbsa office to surrender because he said that it would be better for our inland application but it backfired because they rendered him removal ready and said he had to leave Canada. so he returned to ja in 2010 and reapplied outland in 2011.
So my outland timeline is

Sponsorship approval june 2011
File sent to KG july 2011
Ecas in process feb 2012
Additional doc req april 2012
Dna for hubby's son may 2012
Dna scheduled sept 2012
Meds redo request nov 2012
Ppr jan 2012
Kg also did rcmp check---- not sure when
So there was a few things that made my case complicated but the good news is ppr comes shortly after meds redo so your hubby should get the call very soon. Tell him keeps his phone close, also check post office and emaik....because ppr for us came to my email
