Your so close honey, just wait a few more days, but you should start looking and have your tickets scoped out. I know for my hubby, the day he gets his in his hand, I'm with you he is on the first flight out of there.

If the applicant of dependent does not leave Jamaica within the 12 months from issue, what happens? Not sure if you know, but if you do please share, thanks.
you will have to re-apply all over again....but dont ever thing about that at all.....

Hi Maddants, she may want to do that because apparently the dependent has gotten a girl pregnant and is giving no ends of trouble and the two of them don't want the problems here in Canada. Don't know what advice to give her, what do you think?

I stumbled upon a very valuable link. Here is the user/operations guide to how they process various applications.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/op/op02-eng.pdf

Hope this is helpful!

Enjoy the read, I surely did!

Do you mean the dependent/s of the applicant? If this is the case and I'm assuming they were filed as accompanying, they will have to leave Jamaica while the PR visa is valid. The PR visa is valid for a period (normally within a short term period) no later than medical expiration date or passport expiration date whichever is earlier. It's best they accompany your husband and officially land in Canada and travel back to JA if necessary otherwise, if they don't leave during the validity period, you'll have to file for them again.

Morning ladies and gents, quick question, my husbands ecas has changed to show only his name and address in JA. My address is now gone along with my name, is this anything to be concerned about?

It shouldn't be anything to be concerned about. I haven't been able to access eCAS for over a week now. They've been trying to fix a glitch bigger than anticipated and strange things have been occurring. Just monitor your DHL and look out for the passport to be sent back. You're good.

Never mind. I was able to log on through the file number and DECISION MADE!!!!!
