I have a question....if we put down an email address for my hubby will they send any requests to the email or will they just send it thru regular post?

I was told that if you are the representative for your spouse (sent in the IMM form accordingly) everything will come to you and not to your spouse. If you then put an email as the means of communication (on the IMM form for representative), then they will communicate only by email. At least that is what the emails I have received say...."If you received this communication via email, please note that another copy will not be mailed to you."

Good morning forum family. Certainly disappointed to see what has been happening on here the past couple days. The forum was and still is designed to be a support network where those that require some information can go to find stuff out. In addition somewhere to hang around a few minutes everyday to share updates, some tears, some laughs and just come and join a group of individuals that understand what each other is going through. Our family and friends have no idea what this is about, they will most likely believe we are blinded by love and not seeing things as clearly as they can. This changes as soon as they get to meet our spouses and realize that they are geniune. I can have little respect for those that will try to add angst to a stressful situation by triggering mistrust. This forum was created to be just the opposite, please have the respect to keep it that way.

OK, now for the real stuff, KG has a wierd sense of humour and likes to send spouses during the coldest time of year, the Mrs got here PR mid November a couple years ago as did many of our family during this time of year, so put on a hopeful and happy face as everyone that gets through brings your file closer.
KGN, invite Santa over and fill his bag with loved ones, dropping them off on the roof will be just fine, just bring em home

Morning all!

Today officially marks 5 months since I've sent in my application and man I can truly say I'm getting real ancy right abt now just knowing hubby can get a call anytime now! Ecas still says in process and no news yet....absolutely driving me bananas out hereee!!!!!! Just praying and hoping to hear something real soon!!

Good morn Cee! Your prayers will soon be answered. Enjoy your time down there as it's getting COLD up herrrr. Would be awesome if your hubbie got the call and your family all comes up together! I'd have to come out to the airport and film the arrival but just make sure you have enough room to bring up my prince charming with y'all.

I'm getting soo excited Cee!!!! Think I'm gonna take a shopping trip over in Yorkville this week to buy my hubbie an oversized bath robe and size 13 slippers for the house. Getting the the his and hers closet at home sorted out to make room for his things. They might mistake him for Dwayne Wade when he gets to the airport with his fine self. Funny cuz when we stayed at the Iberostar a couple of months ago, a few people thought we were some A list celebrities from Hollywood. We played along and then was like nuh, we just regular folks living the good life baby!!!

My list to do's when he gets here, a massive 55 inch flat screen as wide as our KING size bed for our room. My loft overlooks all of the city I swear sometimes when I wake up, I feel like I'm right on Park Ave in NYC and the view is just so beautiful this time of year with all the golden trees, well soon to be bare. Hubbie couldn't stop laughing when I told him our trees go bare butt naked in the winter and grow back in the spring...

He's getting ready to transition his restaurant over to his brother right now to man after he leaves. But at least we know we have whether it be in Toronto or Jamaica, things lined up fi wi and can jet set where eva we want to!!

I don't know about Kingston, but from London VO ( "my" VO...) there is some stories of people getting through without hearing a word from the VO, and without ecas not updating - one day they just found the COPR at their door! but note that for visa-exempt nationals (which is the case of most applicants going through London), they are not required to submit the passport, the COPR is issued based on a copy of the passport added to the original application.

So yes - it's possible!

Ecas is updated in Canada, not by the VO, but I don't know where in Canada they are based - so it can seem that it is "anytime of the day" depending on where you are in the world... for your last question - well for your last question if it's a person who updates ecas, I suppose there is more than one, and I have no idea if they like their job!

^^^^^^^^^ so is it true ecas only gets updates from the Canadian side, and the VO office in Kingston does not in fact update ecas?
