Hi everyone,

Please help me and give some advise,i applied for live in care giver in toronto,I am currently working and living here in nassau bahamas.I came from Philippines.My medical was done last May 16,2012 and the designated medical practitioner send my medical results to Ottawa Medical Regional Office and send back my Philippine passport to Jamaica as i followed the instruction from the letter that i received from them.I am supper worried and paranoid of keep on waiting and also they keep my passport 4 months now.I keep on sending e mails to jamaica to follow up my application but i didnt receive any reply from them.I only receive a confirmation that they receive my e mails....

so i was excited about my progress telling my coworker...and what does he do...pull out a carton of smoke from china, his favorite brand asking me if im sure i dont want a pack???????


i told him he was mean!!!!!!!!!!!!!


but i declined the offer....even tho chinese smokes are prolyl way more healthy than canadian ones...


ANYHOW........morning all....

God give me the serenity this weekend to deal with my annoying mother...a long side the craving...almost feel like i picked a wrong time to leggo of this habit..but 2 days in now....ive come this far!!!

Morning all 24 hours smoke free....have an appt. @ the dentist @ 6:10 today for a cleaning...did a lil shopping @ lunch....going to join gym in our bldg tomorrow!!



Im doing OK!!!!! Already been putting cigarette money saved in jar from last night..........SO here we go....its true the craving last about 3 minutes but if u distract yourself its not so bad.... I LOVE smoking !!!!! However....these past couple weeks everytime i smoke i feel like cancer is coming for me....so im turned off now...not to mention my body been having weird chest pains and all that and i just figure ten years from now....if i dont stop it could kill me...

not to mention my youngest asked me to stop so i dont die like Grandma....SOOO all these reasons are more than incentive enough to be turned right off.....I KNOW ill get the odd temptation....i get them on and off....but then i remember what im doing is good...and there nothing to lose and loads of sexiness to gain~


i was actually gonna quit when hubby got here.....but that means when i said that i wasnt ready.....after my last pack ran out...i said fukk it....dont want it.


also went on lunch and bought a truckload of gum lol

Good for you on quitting smoking, my brother had a heart attack last Wednesday and that really scared me so I said enough of smoking too, I am on the patch though, seems to be working, I have cut back alot and soon to be smoke free also woohoo it is a great feeling.

yes quitting has been pressing my mind, bt the urge to stop just been getting stronger this past bit.....2 weeks ago i believ ei had a mild heart attack to the point my heart actually hurt in the same area for about c afew days after....

i couldnt breathe....and i literally saw my heart jump out of my chest, and i could barely move, but to move myself forward for the pain to stop...i thought i was gonna die....

its been 2 days...my skin is glowing, i can take deeper breaths, i feel stronger, more energy....i been drowning craving in fruits and vegetables...ive got 2 more dental cleaning lined up before i leave for JA....

i also told my husband...dont expect me to sit for hours with u and ur hotskull friends smoking ur brains our...cause obviously were gonna have to find other things to do....

THAT is also where temptation may come in, when i go down...i love those jcan craven A cigs....my GOSHHHHH how i love em!!!!!! nicotene for dayssssssss......

but really and truly ....its not worth it.....








*****also just came back we have a gym in our building so gonna start classes. prolly next week.

im donig it cold turkey, no patch, no nothing....

woke up last night BURNING sweating, craving!!!!!!! felt like a junkie..but faught it and went back to bed...

had a craving this morning on my drive in...looked at the time...counted 3 minutes...saying ok.....so ahd baout 2 , 3 minutes cravings....

anyhow...at work...so far so good, for lunch ill have salad....keep the body full of stuff that gives it oxygene also helps to streghthen the system.......


one hour at a time......one craving at a time.

daniell, I know we got the Mrs TRN# to add to the app. If I recall correctly it was quick, she took her BC to the taxation office and we got it within a week or 10 days. Can't recall if it was req'd or not, someone with a recent app should be able to clarify for you
Anada hang in there, you'll get through the weekends challenge. We have 2 packs of Matterhorn left that we brought back with us and once they're done we will be joining the healthy cause as well. Already got the patch, when I tried Champex last time I got some really, really wierd dreams and quit taking them
