Hi guys, jus touching base. I'm here in Jamaica's hot sun enjoying my last 3 weeks.

Jus worried now because RCMP says my husbands fingerprint info is not in their system yet and its been 3 months. Should he redo them or we jus wait?

did your husband live in Canada? Why would RCMP have his fingerprints?

This is exactly how I am... I haven't checked my ecas in months. I do, however, have the ecas tracker so if there were any changes, my email would receive the update. I honestly dont think of ecas. Hubby and I are geared for a phone call or letter in the post. I do check my email often, just in case, also waiting on CAIPS notes....

So i received my GCMS notes and BF date for security and Crmininalty is tomorrow, i guess they may look at it tomorrow, that interesting cause i thought that immigration didnt work after 4:30 or on weekends

Thank you Neika! I have ti in my mind that maybe officers can choose to take a Monday off and make it up back if they work on the Saturday... but who really knows?!?!

Hey Neika! Does 'BF' stand for Bring Forwad Date? What does that mean exactly do you know?

My understanding of Bring Forward Date (which I am probably wrong about) is that if the IO is at a part in the process where he is waiting on another agency for some sort of result/response, the IO will set ur file aside with a reminder date or BFdate and work on another file during that time as he cannot move forward with your file at the moment.

Many people feel the same way as you. It is my understanding that the man that invented the program does not monitor it, it simply runs by itself and doesnt require maintenance. But that is just my understanding and opinion. It has been somewhat helpful for the very small updates that i actually have received. and it helps control my insanity lol

I would wait. These RCMP checks take long.

Brought Forward Date is a system date to remind the IO processing an application to check for requested information, follow up a file they are working on etc. It is not a hard and fast rule, basically it's an internal deadline for the officer to make further progress with the file since the last process. For example, if they issue a letter on 27 July giving an applicant 30 days to respond, they will set a B/fwd date for 26 Aug. On or about that date, they know to look at the file again to see if they have received a response. They don't have to wait until then, of course, it's just a suggested date.

Immigration's hours are 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. so far as I understand. They are not accessible to the public except for some set hours. This is not to say they don't work OT or weekends. I saw activity over there pretty much every day of the week (I used to live down the street from the embassy).

As with any government department, there is always OT on extended hours beyond normal business hours and weekends. So it's likely that there are staff who work after hours and weekends - plus they get paid overtime!

Hahaha, you have no idea! I used to run and walk for exercise, and I usually made sure my route took me past there at least once a day.

Some of the locally-engaged staff (4 according to the organization chart) would be registry clerks, meaning they handle paperwork only, while the others would actually process applications.

I cannot say how the complement is filled currently, there were staff cuts worldwide since last year into this year.

Yep, when I get into something, I get into it. My mantra is "knowledge is power" and anything that affects my life profoundly I find myself needing to get down and detailed with it. Yes, just a hobby, though, LOL, no Wiki, I swear!

I agree, it's crazy how much work they pull down with 23 staff members. Considering the PR application quota was 2,500 or so, not including skilled workers and the other economic classes plus TRV applications, it is a lot of work.

Congrats Cee!!! You received it much quicker than I - Mine was 92 days!! It should reach KG over the next couple of weeks so now you are officially in the pipeline.
