Good morning forum family, and thanks to everyone for their prayers for us 2011's still waiting to hear from KIN. Please don't forget about us KIN, we need our families reunited so we can get on with our lives. Our men and women miss us and we miss and need them too. Besides this travelling to and fro every 6-8 weeks is getting really expensive

Well today is the day! I am soooo excited. I thought I would be able to get the medicals done to carry up with me but with the mistake in his son's last name has put us behind a bit. They told him at the birth certificate place if he doesn't hear back from them before the 26th then he is to call them well I am coming back on the 23rd so I guess the medicals aren't going to get done but that is ok cause we can express them to Canada in like 3 days I think. Just another speed bump along the road of life LOL Talk to you all when I get back. Hope everyone especially 2011 people hear some news while I am gone so I have lots to read when I get back. Good luck to the ladies whose men are coming home in the next few days Bless up to you all.

What does stage 2 entails once u have received approval to sponsor ur spouse

The applicant is evaluated by KG once the file gets there. The main areas are
1) background (ensuring the applicant has truthfully represented their personal history since age 18),
2) criminality (police records check),
3) eligibility (is the relationship valid, genuine and not for immigration purposes) and
4) medical (any areas of concern on the medical report).

Those are in no particular order of importance, by the way. All applicants must qualify under all 4 areas to be deemed admissible to Canada. Spouses cannot be deemed inadmissible due to excessive medical demand for any conditions they may have, but that is about the only "bly" we get as spouses. The other 3 areas must be passed.

There are other areas that will be checked. For example, if your spouse was receiving social assistance for reasons not including disability, the ability of the Jamaican spouse to become self-sufficient in Canada and the sponsor's current situation will also be evaluated for financial admissibility.
